Those gondolas are great! Very inspirational to try your techniques

Those blue hoppers have the best truck & wheel rusting I've ever seen. They're practically prototype to what I see on the rails. A little more "crunchy" because, as you said, you were going for the nearly abandoned look - spot on. I hope you've done a piece or two on this effect, 'cause I'm going to be looking for it!

The interior of those gondolas is the best I have ever seen. Please do a video describing the process to achieve those colors. Well Done.

Love that covered hopper. The graffiti on it was just wicked.

nice gons… a lot of those gons have a foot or more of MUCK and GUNK caked in the bottom of them... and they hardly clean them out... which always puzzled me... railroads charge by the weight, so if you have a extra 1000 lbs of ZERO VALUE muck plus the weight of the real value load you as the shipper are paying extra to move the commodity plus the extra muck and gunk... cool vid and sweet models... as always

The railroads don't weigh every car or anything close to it.
@25mfd3 жыл бұрын
@@beeble2003 you are wrong... i worked for the union pacific in milwaukee (butler yard) we weighed cars quite a bit... mostly tank cars loaded with petroleum product and covered hoppers loaded with malt for miller brewery... but if you look at the sides of each car there are weight numbers to inform customers so they aren't overloaded... we have sent overloaded scrap gons back to the customer so they can remove the product... btw UP charges customers who want to weigh cars, about 400 bucks per car, they are also charged when the car is overloaded

Will you do custom work on locomotive for other people if they pay?

5:44 That hazmat decal looks highly suspicious. The code is more legible at 6:27 and appears to be 3082. That denotes a miscellaneous environmentally hazardous liquid which would, of course, be in a tank car. There really shouldn't be hazmat inopen cars.
