단수? 복수? the 붙여서?💡 영어 기본 문장 만들기

a dog, dogs, the dog(s) ... 한국어로 말할 때는 세 경우 모두 그냥 "강아지"라고만 할 때가 많죠. 그래서 이것을 구분하는 일이 특히 귀찮고 혼란스럽게 느껴질 수 있습니다. 이번 강의에서는 이것을 구분하기 위한 간단한 연습 방법을 같이 배워 봅니다.
제가 7살 쯤이었을 때 저희 아버지가 집에 강아지를 데리고 오셨어요.
When I was around 7, my dad brought home a puppy.
어머님은 별로 안 좋아하셨어요. 강아지를 별로 안 좋아하셨거든요.
My mom wasn't very happy though
because she didn't like dogs very much.
아무튼 저희는 그 강아지 이름을 [ 해리 ]라고 지었어요.
Anyway, we named the puppy [ Harry ]
어머님도 결국은 마음이 바뀌셔서 해리랑 아주 잘 지내셨어요.

About twelve years ago, my friend asked me to raise a dog which she had found in the park. She already had two dogs, so she could not afford to raise the dog. I hesitated at first because I had never raised dogs before. The dog was adorable and mild though. So I came around and desided to take care of him. My friend brought a watermelon the other day to my place. I was very happy about it because I love watermelons. She sliced the watermelon for me. Another friend who just had dinner said she was too full to eat the watermelon. So I ate the whole watermelon ^^
