I stumbled upon Dans Diamond Dimensions series 11 years ago (I'm 17 now), and ever since I've been hooked. Dan always had this down-to-earth aura and a cozy vibe to him. Though I am currently doing my International AS exams and have outgrown his content a bit, this playthrough reminded me of the simpler times ... a time of being a kid, a time where watching your favorite KZbinr meant the world to you. and it's sad that you can't go back, but as Dr. Seuss said, “don’t cry because it’s over; smile because it happened.” and Dan, thank you ...

There's always something comforting about an OG playing Minecraft. I think a lot of the newer generation Minecraft KZbinrs depend on hyper-editing to keep their audience hooked but in the case of Dan, he can do whatever he wants. The 45 mins flew by. For anyone wondering what resource pack it is, it's called "Fresh Animations". It works by default with Optifine but if you want to use something else you need 2 mods: Entity Texture Features and Entity Model Features. I don't know if you need both but I always use them together. Or you can get the "Fabulously Optimized Modpack" which includes all the mods that can replace Optifine.

Idk who noticed but Dan got the rarest item in Minecraft, a large fern, only 3 mins into his world. This item has only an 18% chance to spawn in a specific Taiga Village Chest (the one he so happened to open). Not to mention, Taiga villages are one of three rarest in Minecraft. Also yes, this item is FAR rarer than an enchanted golden apple.

To stop the villagers from coming in your house, you can place the door sideways and the villager will try to open it but it is technically already open so they can’t come in.
