My guess it wasn't loved due to being a PS2 graphics for successor consoles. And it's an adaption to the Epic Poem that too much liberties of the story.

@@Grandmaster_BigTank7 id like to see a sequel or reboot with new enemies. Plus a TV series would be fun. Mixing in both the books and game. Dante going through redemption and battling Lucifer. I liked in the movie he asked God to forgive him and was ready to sacrifice his soul to stop Lucifer, that should come back

1. Limbo : Those who were Ethically never been baptism or never accepted the God ended up here awaiting for Judgement to be thrown into the Circle Below. 2. Lust : Those who have commited swept up by their own Lust ended up being thrown around in an Endless Storm. 3. Gluttony : Those whose Hunger have never been satisfied end up in this dirty place of Rain and Snow. 4. Greed : Those who value wealth above all else and give in to their materialism and horaded the poor end up weightened here while the poorest push them inside the very gold they were once love. 5. Anger : This is where those whose anger can never be qualm ended up, in a Sqampy and Murky Place where they battle for eternity. 6. Heresy : This is the place of those who guikty for being a Heretic end up. Burning for eternity in this city of hellfire. 7. Violence : Thos who commited Violence such as Killing, suicide, and blasphemy ended up in different parts of this ring a River of Blood, Thorny Trees, and Burning Sands. 8. Fraud : This is where those who lies in their life end up. They were cast out in the very depth of darkness where the Demons torture those who commited deciet in their life through the Trial of Malebolge. 9. Treachery : The lower and the final circle where the Devil Reside. Those who betrayed their own blood, their own country, their own guest, and their own belief end up in this Frozen Wasteland where they remain being trapped in the Lake of Ice freezing forever for their cold betrayal.

If there's one thing I've learned from these flashbacks it's this: The evils of our infernal enemy, Lucifer/Satan, just so happen to reside in ALL of us, as each circle of punishment in the video game and story. We are ALL sinners. There is no doubting that each of us hasn't committed some kind of sin against God in our respective lives. I have, and I'm very ashamed to admit to any and all of them. However..... The moral of this story is redemption and salvation. Sometimes we NEED to go through Hell to get to Heaven, (or by the end of the game, the next journey is through Purgatory, but you get the idea). Sometimes, we NEED to save our beloved girlfriend/wife/son/daughter/etc. in order to save ourselves. It is a trial by ordeal, so to speak. Life, itself, could be seen as this kind of neverending and horrifying terror storm, that we must undertake to see the sins we've committed, repent from them, and ultimately, reform. And at the end of the journey, we've faced our sins and DEFEATED Lucifer/Satan at his own game, in his own realm and playground. Even mere mortals such as Dante Alighieri, whether it be this Knight Templar, or even the real Italian poet, can fight that evil and craft a story for this generation as a reminder to us, that evil in ANY form, CANNOT hope to stop us. Man. Woman. Or child. Let this comment be a reminder to ANY evil, including the Devil himself, his wife, Lilith, any of his band of traitorous, corrupted, minions, henchmen, giants, titans, Cerberus, or anyone he can possibly utilize against God or His People, THAT THEY DO NOT STAND A CHANCE AGAINST US & WILL NOT WIN THE WAR OF OUR AGES!!!!! You can all try whatever you so desire, but let me remind you all of this: "NO WEAPON FORMED AGAINST GOD OR HIS PEOPLE/ SHALL PROSPER/ DON'T TREAD ON "ANY" OF US." Last but not least, "JESUS CHRIST IS FOREVER LORD AND SAVIOR." Can't wait until your Second Coming, my Lord. I pray it's very soon and I can't wait to see Satan squirm like the miserable, pitiful, whiny, little SOB he is. Give him the BEATDOWN OF ALL TIME for Your sake, Your Father's sake, humanity's sake, and every deceased person who's perished at his hands since he came into existence and rebelled against us all. Your Father and his brethren included. In Jesus Name. Amen.

Because it teaches redemtion, portraying a corrupt goverment that hapoens to be christian isn't entirely anti Christian.

@@luisantoniofloresyanez5860 After Dante absolved him with the cross, Franscesco probably went to purgatory to atone for his sins. So sooner or later his soul has gone to heaven, like Dante's mother or the souls he absolved during his journey in hell.
