RipleyandWeeds that’s the problem with Animat and pretty much every reviewer nowadays. To them, simplicity is a sign of weakness, even though it takes skill, talent and a real genius to make something so simple. Ironically, anyone can make a story sound so complicated.

8/10, 10 being perfect. Voice actors were very good. I could really feel the emotions. It does feel a little bit like a game but the Devine Comedy book feels a little bit like a game so it’s not the movies fault.

actually it's not Christian mythology its Catholicism mythology. There are many different versions of Christian beliefs the one in Dante's Inferno is based on the Catholic version of Christianity not Christianity as a whole.
@MrMarinus187 жыл бұрын
actually you could say it's pagan mythology since it's an adaption of the many barbarian tribes that came flooding in. Many people underestimate the influence they had. Remember that until 321, close to 3 centuries after Jesus died there was no canon of any sort. His teaching were remembered only through worth of mouth and over an area of close to 300.000 square kilometers and over 15 million people that means things change.
@SasukeUchiha-ix2yk7 жыл бұрын
Okay I am going ot be VERY fair here. Dante's inferno the game may have taken a few pegs from God of War, as did many hack n slash games, but that's not really fair to it. It still does a few things game play wise that wouldn't work fro Kratos, like either saving or damning lost souls. and visually, it puts the Realm of Hades to absolute shame, especially considering, well, this is freaking hell! now are some of the boss fights as visually interesting compairing it to say, GoW3? no, but they are still doing their own thing, hell the lust stage alone creeps me the fuck out. So, I think Dante's inferno was unfairly judged, but I see where people are coing from, and the best part of this mini-review, I've never played the damn thing. I have seen so many vids of it though. But back to the animated film, I gotta agree with AniMat here. in both the good and bad
@LadyTylerBioRodriguez9 жыл бұрын
Yeah, it could be either the Goodtimes Entertainment version of Snow White, or Happily Ever After. It's probably Happily Ever After, because knowing poor Mat's luck, it will be the worse version. Though for my money, the most interesting thing about Happily Ever After is how it was made. I'm serious, if you haven't heard it, you need to look this up. The studio thought they could make theatrical sequels to popular Disney classics, and NOT GET SUED! It's fantastically dumb, and probably more fun then the film itself.

i am going to say this but not going piss anyone off but i am going to say is i kinda agree, But you seem to missing something i have seen. Ok yeah there are "Videogame Moives" that are really bad but this movie is not bad or good that i agree but the message is well yeah there but not in a movie type way. Some things do need to be left out or sacrificed, other elements yeah it is there, but this is not just as "Dante's Inferno" ok lets get this done and over but the message there as it is not clear like crystal clear but it is there. The movie to me is more like the book of Dante's inferno because yes it is a reminder but you can pass your sins and keep on going to your goals or goal. With all the evil/bad sins you have in your heart then it will you're resting place but to forgive yourself as god will forgive you. You can over come your sins as you stay clear or truth to you and and try to keep in mind you are on your goal and the lord will always be with you. That is what the movie says for the message of the movie as i seen but not as for a movie telling the messaging way i do agree.

Oh well, I was close with the possibilities of D.I getting at least a 7/10, but instead a 6/10, which makes sense, considering the game's critical reception being OK. So, you're gonna review a rip-off version of a animated Snow White movie, judging from the comments so far. If it's from Good Times Entertainment, I'm sure the torment in their own Hell will last under a Hour.
@LadyTylerBioRodriguez9 жыл бұрын
+Thomas Fredrickson Hence why I think it will be the other rip off of Snow White. Because it's worse from what I hear, and its longer then 45 minutes. This man cannot simply catch a break, I'm sure he would love to pull out something like Beauty and the Beast or Toy Story from the hat. But no, he keeps getting stuff like Cloudy 1, this, and soon to be Happily Ever After.

I’m gonna just say that watching this if you are “interested in Christian mythology” is not a good idea because this isn’t based in that at all. 😂 The book of Dante’s Inferno is not a part of the Bible or any cannon stories from the Bible. It’s a fully fictional piece that very loosely took inspiration from the Christian faith but is certainly not an extension of it.
