my favorite parts: 1) the POV (dang i never realized how complex the drum part is) 2) guy in the foreground feeling the key change at 3:53 3) his wave at 4:32 4) guy in the crown singing at 3:12 5) his head banging at 4:06 6) LACKETYLAC loved it. thanks for sharing!

I am a drummer and this is not that complex.
@bs.music.kyi93 жыл бұрын
@@taliday56 For a normal song, I would definitely agree, but as someone with some level of experience in pit band drumming, even stuff that is normally simple can become a lot more complicated with the number of variables that comes with the setting of a live theatre.

Your playing is absolutely fantastic, and your sound too. Can’t avoid mentioning your cymbals, they sound so crisps and clear. I love them, specially your ride!

What's the drum pad left of screen for? Click track?
@DanyloDmyterko4 жыл бұрын
It's being played by another drummer, triggering different sounds! i.e. timpani, chimes, electronic drums

anyone has the sheet music for this?

IS THAT ALEX LACIMORE DIRECTING (If it is how does it feel to drum under his great knowledge)

Do people there have a click or rather, could this be done without? o.O
@eyo87664 жыл бұрын
It could be possible to play this without click because of the conductor? I'm not sure tho...
@bolzep4 жыл бұрын
There is just this huge lagging between singers and band that everyone in the respective groups needs to compensate for equally...
@DanyloDmyterko4 жыл бұрын
bolzep we had a conductor on stage, the same person who arranged this piece for this performance. So we didn’t have a click, it was mainly between the conductor and the drummer to keep time! Hope this clears the question :)
@bolzep4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the answer and I'm impressed, I have trouble just tapping along.
@NickPrez3 жыл бұрын
It’s because the main monitors with my vocals were off- so what you were hearing was the delayed effect of the vocals in the mains echoing off the back of the stadium. There’s a video on my channel of it recorded from the audience perspective, and it’s much more connected

Is that Alex Lacimore conducting??
@DanyloDmyterko3 жыл бұрын
No it’s a Berklee student conducting, however Alex Lacamoire is sitting right behind him in the audience!

This is cool and all but a lot of parts sounded quite out of time. Maybe it’s just how the audio was recorded but it’s a bit jarring to hear the tempo of the piano slow down/speed up to fit the vocals/drums
