The free codes don't give you the gods or the ascensions that you get if you paid. So idk why people would feel burned

We've had several weeks to earn basically free gems by the time people with codes join we've grinded ascension passes and login gems far longer than them.

You can adapt and still have opinions on it. You need to calm down. Incons gone from having Combat Blink in Smite 1, to get it getting gutted into an Out of Combat Blink just for it to get reverted back into a Combat Blink in Smite 2. Mans been getting PTSD flashbacks ever since.

I think the main difference is league has 2 slots for summoner spells. Basically everyone gets flash in league, if everyone wants it in smite you are gonna have to sacrifice other important relics

Imo it also just overpowers other relics, why aegis an ability when you can just blink away (besides lock ons). Making it an item still keeps it in the game but reduces the amount of people willing to buy it.
