This song brings me memories...I saw them live here in Finland...i think it was-95...it was this outdoor festival, and the sun was shining....until Mr.Danzig hit the stage: when he started "Dirt Black Summer"-song, the sky filled up with black clouds, and it started to rain like no tomorrow! You have to be there to believe! Then i truly believed: He IS something more than just a man.....

All I know is that I dig Danzig and enjoy his music. I never said I loved the guy or his beliefs, I simply think he is a talented musician with an undeniable legacy in the music world. He's been making music for like 30 years now, the man has achieved a lot. He doesn't deserve to be bashed all the time just because some fat guy punched him. The old school stuff he did with the Misfits is classic, I don't care what anybody says. All I know is I respect the guy.

This was the first danzig song for me. I think nowehere else does Danzig sound more like Morrison. Morrison was a great singer. But now i think Danzig is even better. Range and power of voice are almost unrivaled while sounding pleaseant and not your everyday vocal. Huge.

I´m regurarly checking the comments to the Danzig vids, even more so than the actual vid´s nowadays. It´s freedom of speech at it´s best, and very entertaining. I really don´t share Tibbenham´s view on Danzig, but I fully respect his right to have his own opinion and also the right to express it even if he comes out as quite provocative to the rest of us who has a different view on Danzig. Otherwise it´s easy to get to the same level as religious fundamentalists.
