Happy new year Daphne and thank you for continuing to be honest and real in your videos 💕 I used to be a commercial model in my younger years. I am 40 now and unfortunately modelling has dried-up a lot for women my age in my town. I have since become a teacher and love what I do. I am still a size 4 and I look after my health and myself, but my attitude towards my body is still a little harsh at times. Even though I no longer model I still get frustarated and disappointed with myself when I feel bloated or when don’t “feel” my best. I think this is something that I will carry with me for life. I think being a model and obviously relying on maintaining to look a certain way as part of your job will cause you to have some low feelings about your body. I think that is unavoidable. But like you said, those thoughts are temporary and as long as you love yourself and look after yourself, they will pass. I am still learning to be kinder to myself, to be less self-critical and in those moments when I’m not happy with how I look or feel, I try to focus on all the other positives in my life instead. Type-A personalities can be very self-critical and at times speak negative self-talk. This obviously isn’t all bad, as it can also motivate us in our pursuits, but I hope that in 2023 I learn to practice to be just a little bit kinder on myself 💕👏 Thank you again for sharing and continuing your journey with us here Daphne. I read a quote today that said “Sunshine all the time makes a desert.” and I want you to know that your vulnerability and honesty is what makes me love your channel! Thank you for sharing your struggles, but also thank you for being open minded and honest. I think we all appreciate it more than you know, but we also love to see you thriving and confident in yourself. It broke my heart to hear you talk about your self-image because you are so beautiful and you are living my dream. But to also hear you self reflect is what is the most powerful. Keep being you. 🤍 I also would love to hear about what you think about age in the modeling industry. I used to be signed to an agency but I am around a size 6-8 and I never booked the jobs I truly dreamed of because of my lack of confidence and major body dysmorphia. I want to start modeling again but I’m 28 and I’m finally loving my body while working out instead of working out because I hated the way I looked. Hope you had an enjoyable holiday with your family and am glad you are back so we can enjoy your vlog. I have those days when I don't feel as good as I would like to but I keep reminding myself of the good things I do feel, An example would be if I know my hair is not the way i want it to look I might tell myself that I look really good in the color I am wearing or something positve to try and challenge the negative feelings. I always remember what the doctor said and that is our brain only knows what we tell it and if we keep saying I don't feel good well you will start to feel sick just like our arms and feet move because we have sent the message to our brain for them to move. This is not easy to do but if you work at it you will eventually start feeling better, feelings are normal all kinds of them and as long as they don't define who we are then that is good. Ir is really nice that you share with us that your life is not perfect all the time and you are very open with us, I like that about you and it makes you more likable to your viewers. Happy New Year. It's great to see you back. I hope that you had a nice holiday and skiing adventure with your brothers. If it's not too personal, can I ask why you do your parents separately? In your beginning videos they always appeared together with you. We all experience anxiety. Being yourself should be impressive enough for a client. You're such a dedicated professional. You work hard to take care of yourself by working out and eating healthy. I enjoy your cooking videos a lot. Do you eat a salad daily? Do you eat to balance your macros or just eat what is healthy? Just curious as to how people make healthy and palatable meals.

I honestly eat according to how I feel & what my body needs that day. I tracked macros for a few years so I have a good understanding of how to structure my meals so my body feels it’s best! Also- my parents separated and so we now to holidays with them individually!

Honestly I’m not sure… next time I go I will Vlog and ask, the only thing is tones can look different depending on the base color of your hair (from what I know). I usually ask for balayage highlights that are still natural but brighter from my actual root xx

Can you share which camera u use?, and what would you suggest eg, which camera or iPhone for recording auditions for modelling ?🙏

I have a canon g7 x mark III! I love it for vlogging and self-tapes (casting auditions from home) but it’s definitely not a must. iPhone works perfectly fine, and you can change the settings in camera to achieve the results you want. Xx

I just wondered because it is an active decision to put that clip in because it is not on the background while she is speaking or anything but really just filming the poster is the whole clip before and after a cut. But it’s fine now, I am just very sensitive when it comes to that topic.
