Throughout their journey, the margins of victory for the Straw Hats have gradually become tighter and tighter. In Thriller Bark, the entire crew only survived because Kuma allowed them to; while our crew has gotten stronger, so have their enemies. And it culminates here. The Straw Hats are at such a disadvantage that they can't even run away, let alone win. Everyone is defeated and Luffy is left in tears. It was a shocking moment when I first watched it, and I'm glad it continues to affect new fans just as strongly.

me lol, it happened when I was 15, me and classmates dont have much money to buy a manga fr, and it not released weekly as chapter in my country but a manga book, so it was a long wait, internet wasnt a popular thing also, so me and my friends spend so many time re-read and tried so hard to found out if they still alive or not, cuz luffy is a MC but theres so many mystery and it couldnt finish right there thats why they had to go back to sabaody but how, the end of the chapter is also a pain when oda write it like this is really the end of straw hat, it took us more than a year until we know what happened next because impel down happened way more long time after that, we dicussed all the situation that could happen all over my school and it was really a boom dropped back then, I think thats why kids read manga backthen have much more theory and dicussion than nowaday cuz it was really long wait until the next chapter
