Dappy Annoyed at N-Dubz Questions, Guns, Prison, Price on His Head, Big Brother (Full Interview)

In this VladTV exclusive, British rapper and singer Dappy spoke with DJ Dubl about his life and career. He spoke about his upbringing in the Camden section of London before explaining how his father got him into music. Dappy also talked about his father intervening when he was starting to get involved with the streets. After speaking about the formation of N-Dubz, the group he created with cousin Tulisa and friend Fazer, Dappy addressed the negative perception of his public persona. Really sad to see this. Just feel bad for him. Interviewer not helping asking about big record deals and saying how many millionaires there are in the scene now and Dappys just sitting there thinking "Stop talking about how successful I was in the past and people that are much richer than me". Guys self releasing his new album and the interviewer is asking about big money deals wtf. Dappy does say some really dumb stuff of course, "Stay in school yeah, maths is really important, but me I just need to look good in a video and write a bar". Well thought out message! Main take home is he just seems so miserable and bitter. Hope he gets a lot happier soon. When the time is right N Dubz should just sort their differences out and tour some arenas and dont blow the money this time. Should be able to do an arena tour and take home £500k each every year. Can play some solo stuff at those shows. Freedom and good vibes. Just enjoy it. Make people happy. I'm rooting for all 3 of them. I hope they find happiness in their solo careers. But people will be asking them about N Dubz and trying to get them to reform forever. It's just the way it is.

Dappy I doubt you’ll see this but Yo, I’m from Ohio US and I was listening to N Dubz in high school showing all my friends how dope you were and the fact that you had a song with Mr Hudson was incredible. I actually found N Dubz through Frank Ocean in 2011. He dropped Nostalgia Ultra that had a remake of There Will Be Tears by Mr Hudson. I had enjoyed Mr Hudsons prior hits with Jay Z and Kanye and took a deeper dive into his career. I found Playing With Fire, still an incredible tune to this day. Anyway, you’re loved all over the place man I’ve never even been to the UK but one day I plan on seeing a show. I don’t think N Dubz is anything to be ashamed of no matter how deep you are in your career.
