PS Woolloomooloo is a Sydney suburb- formerly working class docklands, now gentrified waterfront finery. Wollongong (pron. wool...) is a coal & steel city south of Sydney.

Now I am no particular fan of Mexican music, but even I coyld name those two tunes - one was 'La Cucaracha' and the other was the "Mexican Hat Dance". James strikes me as snart, so probably a bit of feigned ignorance for comic effect.
