Mass Effect 3 Multiplayer Class Guide : N7 Shadow

A series of episodes summarizing and guiding players to the pros and cons of each class/species in the mass effect 3 multiplayer. Any helpful feedback is welcome. As well as leaving your own tips and tricks in the comments below :)
In this episode we take a look at the N7 Shadow. This character is a master of hit and runs. She is also a great assassin type character. Able to take out key enimies before slipping back into the shadows. Lets take a look and find out why!
Apologies for some audio hiccups. I was recording the commentary for this in multiple rooms over two days so the background noises might show up.
Remember that these are just my personal opinions of the classes and my experiences using them. I do give each class a chance and do play a fair amount of them before making a video. Each class here is level 20 and played on gold or silver modes. Also please not that I know ulter light materials are a broken mod but i include them on the character screen in hopes that bioware will fix them and thus not make the video out of date.

one of my favorite classes by far. So useful even as a medic. Countless times teammates have been downed across the map, I would teleport towards the closest enemy and just revive them in a matter of seconds.

I HAVE THE BEST N7 shadow build ever.Try this. I've been revisiting ME3 MP and trying new specs. For this character I found you get more shadow strike damage by specing out shadow strike fully as opposed to the melee damage under the fitness tree. This means you get the best of both worlds. Full E.S. and full S.T. The build is 6 6 6 5 3. If you can get a 200% cooldown T.C. take the damage/melee/bonus you will still be able to get off 2 powers. E.S. radius/recharge(detonate is bugged)/damage S.T. protection/electrical/damage N7 Shadow damage/power S.M. 3 points. The melee damage of S.M. only gives you 30% more base damage and temporarily 50% after sword kill or on armor but S.T. gives 50% permanently against everyone and 40% DOT. 90% total. Not to mention the 50% from T.C. and now you can detonate tech burst of the electrical evolution. Try it you'll like it. You will not need any mods on silver or gold but if you have them its all the easier.

Great guide! Kind of made a mistake in not putting any points into Tactical Cloak initially...... There was this time in Firebase Glacier on Silver fighting Geth when I spammed Electric Slash to hold them off where they couldn't shoot me. Fun!

You can cancel electric slash right before the flip ends. The flip also still detonates and damages enemies near you, and by 'novarolling' out before the ability's shockwaves, you can stay in cloak anyways. Great way to set up immediately after a cloaked shadow strike.

I can appreciate it when someone doesn't choose the sniper damage upgrade. Every time I am paired with someone who heavily relies on this, I feel slightly agitated. It feels too gimmicky to me. As if they aren't contributing as much. Like a Sandman/Guillotine Scout but not as self reliant (as in waiting for teammates to scrape off half the health and then steal all the credit), powerful, or satisfying/fun to use. But that's just my opinion.

Although a samurai class might be cool, just give them some kinda heavy armor (like the N7 Destroyer) and give them a sword and you'll be good to go.

Keep buying reserves packs, highest chance to get characters and sometimes you'll get the ones you want too. Premium Spectre packs work too, but Reserves are your best chance.

I'm sorry but using the electric strike is really just wasting the N7 Shadows melee ability's because if you spec into electric strike your pretty much unable to spec fully into the rest of her ability's... now you've talked about "hit and run" for the Cabal Vanguard, but the N7 Shadow she's the king of Hit and run, able to do huge amounts of melee damage to a single target making her very squishy like a glass cannon which is not a problem for people who know how to "hit and run"

Using the Disciple shotgun with an Omniblade is a good way to improve your melee damage. Since it's the lightest shotgun, your power cooldowns are still fair. :) (hope my last sentence makes sense u_u)

You can cancel the Electric Slash by doing a heavy melee attack before the wave of energy is released.

8 yrs later i know i know (I still play here and there).. but i have a question lol. How come enemies often spot me during SS? I know i can't let them see me cloak, so what gives? Is it bc im teleporting through them from in front of them?

Yeah, that's the pack that gives you the most probability of unlocking the N7 Shadow.

Shadow strike...? In ME2 if you got Kasumi she had shadow strike. I spent days figuring out how’ to get it...never found out until now.

I find amusing ppl using sniper rifle with N7 shadow, since her unique trait is melee... figures. I mean, there are much better infiltrators to use sniper rifle if one wants that build no matter what, and she is by far not the best sniper damage output out there if you ask me. Its much harder to play melee though, so ppl go for the easier path.

Play 2 Silver games or 1 Gold and it gives you enough for a Spectre pack. I've gotten really good characters from it; including this one.

I've been using this spec, and it works rather well even though my mods and weapons aren't very high level. My question though is this. I've played a few matches, most of them reaper and I can back stab everything. One match was cerberus though, and I can't do that to an atlus. Combine this with electric slash not being high level which does nearly nothing to a single heavy target, are there any suggestions dealing with them other than teammates or missle?

In tactical cloak I was gonna chose the last one that let's me use a power when cloaked and it gave me the sniper upgrade. I'm upset now

this build is not for platinum for sure...and the demonstration is the entire video where you go on to kill pyro and light infantries.. how can you kill boss target like prime banshee atlas pretorian? you faced 2 times a prime, the first you keep spamming the slash with almost nothing result and the second you kill him with a missile..

Shame the resource and time diversions that went into the multiplayer was one of the reasons that the single player got dragged down. I like the multiplayer, but it was definitely a drag factor for the main event.
