I love Ann Nocenti. Big X-Men guy and the Long Shot mini Series was the first thing I ever had to hunt down complete.

Thanks for making this video. Usually when people talk about daredevil Annie Nocenti doesn’t get enough credit. It’s my favorite run of DD after the perfection of the BORN AGAIN issues.

There are days, like this one, when Ann Nocenti's run on *Daredevil* feels like the best of all time. Great channel!

Man, your videos are so well done. I'm surprised this channel isn't much bigger (?) Takes time, I guess. The quality is here.

While I was buying these issues in real time, I've read very few of them. Comics were much more affordable relative to the value of money at the time, so I was buying as many new issues as I could. Sometimes entire runs went unread in the weekly stacks. This video has inspired me to read it (on Marvel unlimited as I no longer have the issues). Thanks. 🤙

I loved Romta Jr. on Daredevil even more than X-Men. His Iron Man was solid as well.

As a kid, I first read Daredevil while following the X-men's Innferno event. I loved Romita's art style in Inferno.

My favorite marvel comic. (Specifically the Nocenti-Romita run on Daredevil) I still have those Daredevil issues and pull them out occasionally to read.

As a lifelong NYC resident as well as a HUGE Marvel Comics fan..i LOVED the fact that the majority of Marvel Comics stories took place in NYC.. ESPECIALLY Daredevil & Spider Man..& i distinctly remember the Ann Nocenti John Romita Jr Daredevil run capturing the 1980s CRIME RIDDEN NYC streets .. something i saw EVERY day at the time..👑

Thanks for this video. I loved watching her interview on NMC recently and can’t wait for her run to be collected next year. I came to DD during Born Again and continued to read the Nocenti run regularly afterwards. However, because I was a kid and her run wasn’t much of a typical superhero book, I lost interest and didn’t fully appreciate it till I was an adult.

I always thought that Typhoid Mary was based on Alison Michaels/Sabrina from the episode Cruise Ship to the Stars of Buck Rogers in the 25th Century in late 1979.

I like Romita's "blocky" style. He improves on this run and continues on to just about every marvel series. I always try to buy his stuff.

This was the first run I completed in backissues. Inferno is a masterpiece. Daredevil getting choked out by a vacuum for 5 issues is hilarious. Spider-Man's inferno issues set up his next 5 years of spider books. Also in Spectacular Spider-Man during this era, kingpin makes minimal appearances, claiming he needs to focus all his energy on DD. This leaves The Arranger in charge of "the day to day" (Spider-Man)

I grew up with Miller and O'Neil, Nocenti and DG Chichester. But Daredevil went downhill after JM DeMatteis left abruptly after 6 issues following #350.
