Daredevil feels like a passion project created by comic book fans with serious talent in film-making. It astounds me how the show captures the spirit of the character and the sinister crime lords he has to face. It's basically an amazing crime/action thriller disguised as a superhero show. Daredevil still remains as the best TV superhero series. Period. Nothing else comes close. Which is why I find the cancellation utterly ridiculous.

I really hate to do this to people... BUT since Peter's alleged 'murder' of Quentin Beck took place in London it would fall on the British justice system to request extradition for trial and as far as I am aware, Matt Murdock is neither a registered barrister or solicitor with the British courts. Even if they use the Sokovia Accords to arrest and detain Peter, Matt is still only licenced to practice in the state of New York and the trial would be held in London. Only way I see it working is if Matt is his court appointed lawyer upon arrest in NYC and that's IF the Sokovia Accords allow for lawyers. Even then, given his association with the Avengers and the fact SWORD sent him on the european mission he'd likely be given access to the kinds of lawyers Stark money can afford. Sorry.

That's a major understatement on Matt's part, not to be that guy, all his other senses are enhanced, he can read newspapers by FEELING the ink blots, he can almost fairly accurately guess colors based on heat reflection. Not to mention his radar sense which isn't really explored much in the show sadly, but I'd more say that bullseye performs highly based on the one thing that was taken from his childhood, almost like it's come back to haunt him

He got his best chance there at the end to shine, when other actors had done such amazing performances that they would temporarily steal (and deserve) the spotlight. But when Charlie Cox had his biggest and best moment he absolutely nailed it. I felt the frustration in that scream and all the effort it took to restrain himself at the end. It could easily have felt predictable or corny, but (at least to me) it felt triumphant.

I think a really important part of why this show is so good is Charlie Cox's performance as Matt Murdock. He is absolutely perfect for this role and in my opinion matches or surpasses other actors like RDJ and Hugh Jackman who similarly exemplify the characters they play incredibly well.

Netflix (as far as I'm aware) didn't work as much in the studio of the Marvel Netflix shows--had it been Disney, which owns the entirety of Marvel television (yes, I mean the MCU and Marvel Studios), that made the decision of cancelling it, I have a feeling the crew of writers, directors, actors, etc. etc. would've been notified via Disney/Marvel executives instead of (mainly) by news article exclusives. (Also, Jeff Loeb and others execs have clarified that it was a Netflix decision via social media and interviews).

No Way Home is already going to be very, very, VERY busy (so far, we have confirmed: the identity reveal, the Dr. Strange connection, multiverse exploration and a bunch of hierarchy details to address when it comes to accessing it, tying in older-timeline characters to the MCU, AND multiple villain conflicts to resolve). While it's so heart-wrenchingly plausible for Matt to be Peter's lawyer, I don't think the movie could do justice to the character, much less justice to Cox's version of the character, if it wants to do everything else *well*. I honestly hope that if Matt DOES appear, that it's brief, and it's only in the scope of him being Peter's lawyer and confidante. ...and maybe an ironic way of bearing the message "Don't do something reckless" to Peter right before he does something reckless. (I'd much prefer him to appear in a meaningful way in Hawkeye, since Echo/Ronin/Maya Lopez is appearing in it too, along with D'Onofrio's Kingpin, if the rumors are right)

@@TheFirebreather As much as I like Infinity War and do believe that it did better in terms of raising the stakes for the Avengers, what you said is definitely true about Daredevil. It's a shame that people behind these cheap decisions decided to sacrifice raw authenticity over stereotypical superhero archtypes. I'm not hating on the MCU as I enjoy it a lot but what Daredevil did was more surreal in terms of live action comic book storytelling, especially since it wasn't afraid to get dirty and bloody with it's violence. I was even hoping we would get a Spider-man series that delved into that similar graphic nature because Spider-man stories are typically a good blend of darkness and lighthearted humor, not just the kid-friendly knock off that the Spider-man movies are.

In my most educated and sophisticated opinion I would have to say that on a scale from 1 to 10 I would have no doubt in my mind that said character is indeed at the least a 6 out of 10 on thy scale. i like at how the end of season 3, when Matt finally captures Fisk during episode 13, you could literally tell how annoyed he was at that point, all that built up anger over the past couple years did that to him, he's just just some immortal human who doesn't feel emotion and does it to save the planet, he's a down to earth human who goes through things we all do, along with all the daredevil stuff, Matt is quite frankly the most down to earth "hero" in the MCU and maybe one of the best heroes ever, it's a shame they cancelled the show, but the ending we got in season 3 wrapped things up the way it felt like it was meant to be, sorry for ranting lol

I did not expect to like Bullseye and Nadeem (the side characters are usually mildly annoying, such as the Meachums, Trish, Madani, etc) but they really exceeded my wildest expectations. Specifically Nadeem; I expected him to be a mild nuisance throughout, kind of like that attorney in season 2, or Det. Lance on Arrow, buthe ended up being one of my favorite characters.

The shows are made by entirely different people by different corporations. If the heads of CW wanted to cancel the CW shows, they would. But they're not; so deal with it. Man I could go on for hours about how smartly written season 3 is, everything you mentioned and smaller things like how Agent Hattley managed to throw off all my suspicions by giving Nadeem genuinely good advice while still acting like a hard ass, but when you think about it afterward every way she pushed him was getting him closer to his own destruction. But can we also appreciate the visual storytelling? Daredevil always did that film noir style amazingly, but the way they direct with your ears is top tier. It's like a visual interpretation of his powers, and while it can be unobtrusive its presence does a lot, particularly in this season as Matt regained his senses. When the camera is over Matt's shoulder for almost an entire scene with Sister Maggie his hearing is muffled, until the moment it cuts to another angle as she asks if Matt intended to kill himself, the impact hits. And this season for the first time someone other than Matt gets that same ear directing, Dex. Even though Dex doesn't have Matt's senses, they also use what he hears to direct what he's "seeing", and unlike Matt who's senses are getting better as his mental state improves, Dex becomes more and more unstable as they lean into that style more and more.
