One of the reasons that I enjoy your videos is that you do show the details of what goes into the build. Too many van build videos are all fluff, but you are the real deal Jeff. Thanks for sharing.

I've been watching van build videos for a long while now and I just began watching your videos over the past several hours. I'm really impressed with the way that you think. You appear to be either a genius or a mad scientist (I'm hoping for the latter) or a little of both. Either way I appreciate your style. thank you for taking the time to document through your videos your progress and a big thanks for how you roll with the trials and tribulations that plague your build. you are not alone "my friend". this is, of course, Murphy's Law of Camper Van Building. Give me another week and I should be caught up and up to date with where you're at now. until then, thank you for the inspiration.

Whew, that's a lot of work for one person. What a champ. Love seeing the struggle, that's half the fun! And the fun never seems to end haha... The wood panels alone really brightened the van up, can't wait to see the brightness with the full walls on, going to be a a beauty

jef you are doing a fantastisc job with this van build, Jeff; unlike others on U Tube you have developed a manner that show praticality and theroy as well as problem solving; in short YOU walk the talk, you are doing a bang up job , your chanel can be considered a comprehensive van build not just the glits and glamor as some others are.The others are farming out many aspects of there build because they cant wrap there heads around it. I have a suggestion for you, but needing a way to your private e/mail my best Richard

Suggestion: put an hourly value on your time, add it to cost of materials and tools. Then people will know why contractors charge big bucks. As do the refinished vans - often inferior quality.

Thanks for making this video! I'm about to put a ceiling in my Promaster 1500 Van and this is really helpful. Is there any reason why you can't attached the plywood directly to the overhead struts instead of attaching to the wood strips that you made to cover the struts? Any reason you used 3/8" instead of 1/4" plywood? Thank you!!

Going to use a hole saw for pucks later? YES its all in the details, thanks for including the details! Good bad and the ugly. I have one of those rivenut devices and would be pulling hair out wondering what the heck!?! Now I know what’s up after watching this detail share. Cool. Looking forward to the next steps! @@DaresDrives using 3M Thinsulate 600L, with refletix on the walls and tire walls, leftover pieces a friend of mine will use to do all my insulated window coverings for me too, and flooring will have some of the Thinsulate between the wood strips needed, 1/4" foam board, 3/4" plyboard for subflooring (this thick on purpose for as a stronger foundation for the furnishings, and storage areas, etc after all the flooring and walls are done). When all this is all completed, won't be doing solar power yet till later on, till I have enough saved for it, for now it'll be basically simple but preset in advanced to also be ready for later on for the solar power instalment, etc. I'm in the midst of caregiving for my elderly dad while doing this, plus, rest of the time is based on timing when the funds come in, that's when I can get more that I need to work on my van built, hopefully before winter really gets here in around late December here in West Texas, we are going to have a major cold front by late Sunday or by Monday. I'm still waiting on 2 more rolls of Thinsulate to be delivered, already got one yesterday. I hope the other 2 are here by tomorrow so I can at least get all this insulation done this weekend. So, I can get started on those subflooring and walls, etc shortly after.😊
