Daretti, Scrap Savant Deck Tech - UPDATED 2019

Enjoy my new take on Daretti, Scrap Savant. This deck added a few crazy and wild artifacts into it to make the game a lot more fun. I don't play Commander to be competitive. I play for fun, so there may be many inefficiencies in the deck and lack of certain "MUST RUN" cards. Enjoy!

My favorite cards to run with him would be jesters cap to remove combo pieces, anvil of bogardan as card selection and Mana web to stop counter spells

Daretti has been my go to over the years. Picked it up for wormcoil and found I liked playing Daretti more than a lot of my other commanders. Nice build, on a bit more of budget myself, but surprised with the lower number of mana rocks that I would expect (caged sun wins games hard). Also I run some combos with Prototype Portal / Ugins Nexus which is a fun little infinite turn combo for like $1.50. Nice build though, can’t wait for some of the $20-40ish artifacts to come down, hoping for those reprints.

If your playgroup is fine with it magistarate sceptor is my win con in daretti deck. You put charge counters on it to take extra turns. Its like a fair time vault you gotta use proliferate to up to the charge counters which also works great with daretti and steel overseer. I run the sac an artifact to proliferate and a myr that taps to put charge counter and you sac him to put 2 more on. Also meteor golem is so dank if you get a helm of the host or put it under that imprint artifact. And kuldrotha forgemaster sac 3 artifacts to to put an artifact into play is very fun. Tamiyos journal makes artifact tokens every turn for more draw ,tutor and sac fodder. If you can the tron lands with expedition map are great in this deck.

Those are all great ideas, but I tried taking my deck a different direction. I only run 1 alt-win condition. My playgroup is very casual but likes throwing around strong stuff

I really like to run ‘Throne of Geth’ in my Daretti deck. Sac artifacts to proliferate and get Daretti’s emblem. Also with ‘Dross Scorpion’ you can get it very very fast.

Our playgroup is "fun first" so running lattice is severely oppressive and not fun

Hey if you're running the nevs disk/darksteel forge you may as well be running mycosynth, ugins nexus /prototype portal, going nuts with mindslaver 😅 I'll agree that those feel much worse than getting repeatedly disked though. But for real this video gave me so much insight on what to include in my daretti, even being a few years old! Thanks for running us through the deck I'll be picking up most of these I think

I've actually decided to keep Daretty "locked in" as he is. Those are great suggestions though! I want this deck to be a remnant of the "old" days of commander, hardly changing to new cards and new synergies I learn about. It's neat to have a "legacy commander deck" lol

Sideboards aren't legal in commander, so Karn wouldn't work. But if ones playgroup is up for it, then you, of course, can do whatever you want

I'm our play group the goal is to have fun. I dislike excluding a player from all of their turns lol In other decks I run it for a "1 and done" lol

My favorite card to grab with inventors fair is crucible of worlds. Play crucible, reuse your inventors fair.
