July 28, 2012 Mrs Viner said that she is 75% certain Dmitrieva will compete in the OG. Final confirmation July 31. It seems it is all right now. Congrats to everyone.

vashleyluver The head coach of the Russian national team Mrs Viner included her pet Alexandra Merkulova on the OG participation list trying to put her favorite gymnast on the Olympic podium by all means. Dmitrieva's personal coach isn't Mrs Viner.

Nobody knows yet, aside from that Kanaeva is definite, unless she injures herself in training. I don't think we'll know until they announce whichever one it is to the carpet -_-

I saw the oficial list of the gymnast in Londres 2012 and is just Kanaeva and Merkulova... Dmitrieva is definitely not going to London.. I'm very disappointed .. How Viner can do that ?? And why someone in the FIG can't stop her ?? She do that in almoust every OG .. Kabaeva.. Kapranova and now Merkulova.. It's is going to happens in every OG ahead ??

and if Dmitrieva won't go to 2012 London, she wont have another chance in 2016, she will be 23 years old by next Olympics and probably may not be around anymore, thats why Viner should just let Merkulova the clown wait for 2016, she is still 16 years old and needs more experience. and Merkulova won Youth Olympics Gold remember ? Merkulova should just retire LOL and let Viner have Alexandra Soldatova and Yana Kudryavtseva compete in 2016 Olympics

I cannot follow Vinner's view, how she could put Merkulova on the list? for what? for overscoring? Both Dashas r so experienced, more than Merkulova who has poor technique almost in everythning. Additionally, her dirty feets - balle is crying for her feets.
