Russia is kind of in a difficult position with Tokyo since teams will only have 4 gymnasts. Ideally, with a 4-person team you'd want mostly all-arounders, but Russia does not have that many strong all-arounders, so I am not sure if Daria will make the Olympic team. Kind of pointless to just take a bars worker when you have other gymnasts who are also strong on bars but also stronger on other events.

I think the 1rst part of the Russian team for Worlds will be : Angelina Melnikova, Lilia Akhaimova, Daria Spiridonova and Maria Paseka (Valentina Rod will choose her like always "just because she has 2 VTs with high difficulty"). And for the rest : Angelina Simakova ?, Anastasia Iliankova ?, Alexandra Schekoldina ? I really don't know... And the most biggest disapointments of this team so far, is that Aliya Mustafina won't go to Worlds (probably because of Valentina false rumor) and irina Alexeeva is now retired...
