This man’s act to abandon the the Northern Pacific line in a lease to MRL does not ware well. It took nearly 45 years too take bake the line. The traffic from the coast on the Northern Trans Com is maxed out. The Northern Pacific Route now is needed and well used. A second bridge at Sand Point and talk of reclaiming Homestake Pass and restoring service to Butte. This is the BNSF today. They have overcome the errors of short term thinking.
