Phenomenal artist all the way around. I love how grounded he is, and how his music is written from the heart. Saw him in concert tonight (birthday present), for the first time, at Walnut Amphitheater in Raleigh. When Darius performed 'So I Sang', the love & respect that he has for his mama really showed & touched my heart. Today happens to be 18 years since my mother passed away to cancer. And, tomorrow is not only my birthday, but the anniversary of planning my mother's funeral. That song really hit home with me and I could feel my mama's presence all around me. Such a beautiful song. He also sang this new song, which is about recognizing ones own faults & unconditional live, which he recorded on my eldest son's birthday. God truly works in mysterious ways. Thank you, Darius, for not only an awesome performance tonight, but for some much needed healing from a True Believer.

I feel like you guys missed the whole meaning of the song because you just caught up in his voice. Its got such a deep meaning to it. Every time i listen i get a shiver down my back. Its about all of us out there whose scared to loose someone, even if it means being someone different. So you just dont bring it up but sooner or later you have to. Because you feel like you not good enough for her and you never will be. What will happen if you told her that you werent perfect. I met a guy who made a big impression on me. I liked everything about him, his ambition, looks, personality. But, something was off and the longer I knew him the more I realized so subtly that he had deep issues. For an unknown reason I cared for him. I meet a lot of guys but this one, I couldn't shake as far as praying for his good every nite. I had a dream that explained his tremendous mood swings, anger issues, sex addiction, manic moods and tendencies. I woke up immediately and knew why he kept saying "he didn't deserve me." He always held back. But no matter the issue, I didn't care and Id love him anyway because I only wanted to be his angel who would carry him through anything through prayer and love. Only on the wings of an angel and the shelter of love can healing come.
