Darjeeling Ropeway | Cable Car | Darjeeling Tourism | Darjeeling Joyride | Travel Vlog | Timing

One of the best ways to experience the panoramic views that Darjeeling is so famous for, is by taking a ride on the ropeway. It's also called the Rangeet Valley Passenger Cable Car because of the spectacular view of the valley around the river Little Rangeet.
As you ride the cable car, in about 45 minutes you will travel from an altitude of about 7,000 ft. down to 800 ft. where the last station Singla Bazar is located. However presently the ride has been shortened to a station called Tukvar from where the Gondolas return.
Darjeeling ropeway started in 1968 and is the first cable car system in India. It was initially set up to cater to the tea gardens at the valleys below which did not otherwise have an easy access.
This is a short video which we took while we were enjoying the rope-way journey!

How long does it take to reach the top? How high is it? We love to travel as well and invite you to join our journey!

Unsettled Journey The entire journey from top to the valley will take you around 45 mins. It starts from 7000 feet and takes you down to 4500 feet. Earlier this commute was used by the tea garden workers who could start from Darjeeling and go down to the valley for work.
