Gearbrackets are one thing. Skillbrackets are what is needed. I've been enjoying this game past month - but gear only amplifies skill - an average joe like me in the ring with Bruce Lee? It is going to end the same every time. While I might not run into Bruce Lee every match if I do try to bring some green gear I will at the very best break even, all my +gold/gear is simply from

I can for sure see where you are coming from, do you think maybe a level based match making system for people with lower perks so its more learning time before getting thrown into the big pool could help?

Levels merely tell you someone have played the game alot and might have some game/map knowledge - sure it reflects some skills but when it comes to the pvp aspect no. I've played alot of shooters and RTS in my days - throw me in with the world elite and I peak around a corner or build an SCV 2s late it is over. Their aim, their reflexes, are that good - it would be no contest 99/100 games(Heck I've yet to beat a friend at Starcraft, I made it to low Diamond but he is on a completely different level). I can't compete at all with these people - thus you go into the ring knowing "If I run into them it'll be lost". I do enjoy the dungeon crawling feeling in DnD - and I do enjoy when you get into fights with people where it feels you have a chance - but these encounters are to far between to make it enjoyable in the long run. I believe most modern games have some MMR system trying to adjust the player skill pools/ranks etc in with each other in order to avoid this and keep people in a 'Will feel like they had a chance at winning' zone. If that happens I am sure DnD will be a truly enjoyable game.

almost every complaint i've heard in this video is a skill issue not so much your problem though the game doesn't have a good way to introduce new players into the gameplay tempo
