Hello I am Having fun going around killing everybody in Dark and Darker. Unfortunately I have been getting teamed on a lot lately because people are starting to know who I am. I Personally love that people know me and starting to make a name for myself but things will now start to be a up hill battle as more and more people target me.

yep its a honor coming from you. I mostly work on my spacing and footwork and just finished up a new video of me using bardiche. Through a lot of testing bardiche might be slightly better than zweihander because bardiche swings faster and has slightly more range thanks to how it swings and stabs

I got gifted the gloves by a family member so not to sure what type i just know it was a cheap pair. reason i use the gloves is because it helps glide my pen on the pad so my skin does not stick to the drawing tablet

that freaking jump swing is so OP. Negating the move speed penality and having that much range on it is insane. I did take notes on that and how you lead with the broad wide swing to ensure the slow into 2nd swing. If you cant get that to land, you turn and "cancel" the attack as to not waste the achilles slow part for the gurranted 2nd swipe and 3rd hit K-0. I'm a solo ranger main and lately its just been barbs in every lobby so i've played a few games as it and the default axe sucks compared to zwei's range and animations. I mained fighter on the last playtest before offical dropped and ive always enjoyed the non meta weapons and seeing them all cycle through the meta since offical dropped is real nice. Devs do a good job of tweaking the game, sometimes not always in the best state

Ironmace's vision? Devs aren't forcing anyone to do anything. If you want to fight then try and fight, if you don't then try and avoid it. People don't PvP in Ruins HR anymore because it's a waste of time and meds on an open-air map with lots of LOS and no hallways when there's another 2 whole maps to go. Killing 5 guys in ruins means nothing if you're trying to climb rank and you end up not even going to hell because you ran out of meds and inventory space, then end up leaving with a bunch of handled gear and -100 AP. At least this guy realises what he's doing and has the right attitude about it. I seen other videos of people trying to 1vX the whole ruins lobby, dying with zero kills and just straight crying about it. If you can't get kills in Ruins without getting teamed, just wait to go down - at least in crypts there are lots more doors and hallways and it's a lot easier to separate targets as well as avoid rangers - and people will be more selfish (and less likely to team with each other) as loot quality increases. In my experience the "teaming" is 100% specific to Ruins, for the reasons I said, but if you have even a minimum of deviousness you can get kills without aggroing the whole lobby. The game is not designed for fair fights - either use your brain or have the skills to back up your hubris (like this guy).

I'm glad that the upper echolon players are mostly anti-teamers. As someone who is comparatively new the game is basically unplayable at the moment. Ironmace really needs to start taking a firmer stance on this. Say I'm a newbie Ranger. The game offers 0 practice wheels, so I am forced into normals and engage people to learn how to play. Fine. But do I really deserve to have to fight 2+ people every single time I shoot someone? Teaming sucks and destroys this game. In every single form it exists.

I was complaining about teaming in solo mode 6 months ago when it first came out on discord lol. The mods on discord would ban me and time me out all the time cause god forbid you bring attention to the shitty way people play this game. Moderators kept saying "teaming is not against the rules!" - just encouraging everyone to team. The only way these morons can extract is by teaming and they don't want you to take it away from them xD. I hate people, the haters are always right. Now look what the game has devolved into; 200,000 players down to 2000 - listen to your haters, they're not trying to annoy you they just want things to be as good as they can be.

That last group should definitely be banned. They were for sure pre-teaming or at least on discord with each other, considering only one of them spoke using VOIP but they played like they were communicating that entire time. If they weren't using discord to communicate, there's no way you'd get caught cause you'd hear his excited squeals calling for his teammates to come back quickly.

First, the distinction between “teaming” and “not hostile” should be maintained. Second, I don’t get why people are against either on principle. Both mean opportunities for emergent gameplay. I would love to see more nuance from the community on this topic. Incidentally, I think it’s great that you’re attempting to solve a problem you perceive using in-game mechanics (rather than expecting IM to fix it). We want players solving as many problems themselves as possible. We don’t want a nanny developer.

Because people who just want to play the game can't with these "non-hostile" mobs. Say I play Ranger and I want to learn how to use my weapons. What options do I have? Shooting at NPCs barely teaching you anything beyond the absolute basics. The moment I try to engage in PvP, do I deserve to get attacked by 2+ people every single time? I still remember the day I quit - goblin cave solo lobby, opened a door to find all the final blue portals being camped by a team of 2. They see me, they chase me into their stealthed third teammate who kills me in a doorway and then says over the mic "dead, dead ,dead, we got him we got him we got him!". Lmfao!!!!!!!!!! "It's organic teaming so it's okay" they would say. That's when I realized one of the best games of the decade was ruined by player behavior. Sad story. Dead game.

Solo 1v1s make this game spicy. Just read the latest patch notes there is a reason they are trying to make PvP relevant for AP.. entire lobby’s teaming in solo is awful for the game… killing pve and looting chests over and over is so god damn boring. That belongs in common lobby’s for new players

I will say my mains come up to exemplar was much, much more chill/pve/looting than my alt character I'm currently doing after hotfix #29 I believe. So it may have had a change. ​@@peaglock3488 Demigod feels the exact same in my games, and low rank gameplay on alts has always been spicier than main gameplay. Full lobby teaming was pretty fun the first couple times, talk to people and all going down to hell together, makes for some iconic betrayal moments too. Maybe like 5% solo games to have the first floor be super pacifist sounds reasonable to me. It could be cool to have some sort of rotating map effects that occur randomly and have major implications on gameplay, encouraging some variation in the dungeon.

I mean I don’t team with players to kill other players.. but I’m friendly with everyone unless they try to attack me. I don’t see a problem with just chilling and looting with others in solos. A lot of people have fun with that and making random friends in games. If you want to PvP constantly then duos/trios is probably for you, or better yet the arena mode that will come eventually. I understand the frustration because trying to 1v1 turns into a 1v6 or whatever but sometimes players just want to PvE. Also, killing others hardly gives AP so it’s a waste of time. Blame Ironmace not the players. Only teaming that is bad is helping someone kill one person.

the problem is that duos and trios aren't profitable for the casual player base and that's it, and now with 3 layer ruins everyone wants to go down for more loot, so everyone is friendly, bc they want that deep dungeon diving experience. Kills have never been worth anything for ap and yet somehow the problem only started after the release of 3 player ruins. The solo lobbies have always been almost half full time soloes, and half ppl looking to fund some trios runs with their boys. Normals should be that place, yet normals is where pvp is most balanced so everyone wants to fight. its fundamentally broken rn and more than just "kills arent worth ap" its an economy problem. im waiting for no circle on ice map bc i think thats the best, quickest solution, to allow the playerbase to play the game more naturally. also i think having named and colored leaderboard tiers tricks some ppl into thinking its a "ranked" gamemode so their needs to be some type of competitive integrity: everyone fights, respects 1v1s and doesnt team. but its not ranked, its a survival dungeon diving PVPVE game and players will always take the safest, easiest route to survival, always.

If I see you fight another player, I won't team up with you or the other player, I will strike and kill both when meds run out. But I disagree with what you say about trios, all my trio runs it's murder mode everyone is out to get the other group. Maybe experiences are just shaped by rank too, as I'm in the lowest level (got the game like a week ago)

The meta gaming and teaming went unchecked and this is what you have as a result. Teaming is cringe, but so is filling your inventory with bandages health pots and 20 francisca Axes. Video games are exactly that - "games". Sadly people are so terminally online nowadays that these insecure fat cringe pimple lords like repoze retzi etc play the "game" like it's a sport and it creates a environment where having fun isn't even the goal anymore - it's making up for your insecurities by being the best at a stupid game. I still think I'm the only player who would sing over the mic / use whatever weapon I thought was fun / play with random no-mics / try and make people laugh with the backflip perk etc. I realized I was the only one in the game playing it like a game.
