Another idea for the butterfly frame if the wire backing is needed could be the disposable bbq grills. They bend easily and I have gotten them at dollar tree or walmart

I love these projects! FYI, they do carry the nano tape all year long. It's hard to find because people buy it uo quickly.. including me! 😁😆 it works so well that i use it to hold up the foam clay mushroom shelves that I've made. I use it for all sorts of stuff! The brand name tape is supposed to be washable and reusable, but the kind from dollar tree is not so good in that area.

Two suggestions for the butterfly frames - maybe a very thin coat of modpodge over the butterflies to make them less shiny and more realistic. And I bet that piece would also be adorable with bumblebees because the back of your mat reminds me of a honeycomb! I love the pieces you find at the thrift stores. It's a real art and talent to be able to look at items and see their potential. It's something a lot of people can't do. They see things always as they are. I've brought things home and my older kids have said "what the heck are you gonna do with that?" But once you see the finished piece, they always fight over who should have it.😂💖
