I saw them about two weeks later at The Stone in San Francisco. To this day...oh so many years later, I still talk about how badass they were...and how BIG Gene was. I had seen a lot of metal bands by 89- but Gene was a whole different breed. Funny, I hardly recall seeing Death or Sadus that night. Pestilence also played. Pits were so much different. Oh-I didnt mention- I had never heard The Immigrant Song before Leave Scars came out.

Nice to see Good Ole Thrash Metal. I am honored to say that I would hang around with these these guys back in the late 80's. I would go to the City of Vernon in an industrial building and see them rehearse. Armored saint and Megadeth would also rehearse there,; Megadeth moved out once they got big like in 87 or 88. I was also part time roadie for another punk band called Lucky 7 (crazy ass Dino "Iswear to God I do not shoot up,dude) located at the same bldg.Good crazy old memories.Gene Rules.

I was fucking there. Bought a tape. I can't believe I'm seeing this 1988 has to be. Every Sunday. The trocadero. In China town area. I saw every great metal band there. Except metalligaga. Megadeth Slayer testament nuclear assault overkill. Soulfly. Hatebreed. Black dahlia murder. By accident. Great years. Best for metal. I actually forget a lot of the bands I saw every Sunday. For 3 years straight. Missed most Mondays from high school. Pit damage. Wouldn't change it for the world. I am who I am now because of it. And my sons don't follow. So there's no pop. And hip hop. Though I listened to hip hop back then. It's an annoying genre. Been annoying from at least 1990. It should die like disco.
