I was really looking forward to dd2 and when it finally came out, i watched some live streams and it just looked boring and dumbed down. Was really disappointed. So i ended up not buying dd2 but instead bought a second copy of DDDA for $5 to have it on Nintendo Switch after not playing it since PS3

I've always liked the way Dogma does Hard save for the experience boost. Enemies don't become damage sponges and instead the core mechanics of the game are made harder to deal with, you have to use skills at the right time and watch for specific animations for staggers.

I have noticed alot of people are obsessed with dragon's dogma the remake,I will never consider is a sequel! Because it is just a remake, I honestly believe the team that made dragon's dogma are not the same as the ones that worked on the remake,after playing dragon's dogma for years then we get this remake, it just feels like a whole different team worked on the remake. The remake just feels different.

Ah, the good ole days. The intro and the DD:DA gameplay bring back fond memories. It's a shame Dogma 2 was so awful. I didn't mod DD:DA until two years ago. I've already had to mod Dogma 2 to increase the difficulty, make chests more rewarding, and fix the warfarer vocation. Even with all that, Dogma 2 is too boring.

@@nathanchen2824 The whole game is a struggle for warrior, but yes it’s even worse for warrior in Hard Mode. The warrior’s man strategy for boss enemies, staggers and knockdowns, is nerfed big time. Plus having to charge your special abilities results in more damage being done to you, and you take double damage in Hard Mode. I’ve played Warrior a fair bit in DA, and it’s significantly harder than virtually any other vocation. Especially in BBL.

always hated hard mode, some classes are essentially un-affected, sorcerer/magic archer while others, namely warrior, are completely pooped on.

I did not know that enemies require more stager to knock them in hard mode and it can stack, I'll try some of these in my next playthrough thanks nihil0

0:22 Damage scaling in HM is 4,5x for main game and 2,25x for expansion. 0:27 Stamina cost extra 50% not 100%. And sprint is not affected. BTW The "fun" fact about Stamina use in HM is that Stamina spent on blocking is scaling like damage not like skill cost. So 4,5x for Gransys and 2,25x for BBI. 0:57 Living Armor has a crit spot on the neck (and some vulnerability stances I think, wiki mentions Stone Grove cast) where you can pull a knockdown with one Mighty Bend, so just casual hit with MB is not gonna do it (I have vide with multiple headshots not doing it). I don't think I see you hit a crit spot at 0:57 so I guess it's a stacked effect of Masterfull Kill and Mighty Bend. Also, MB seems to have greater power when hitting blocking enemy (hitting through a shield), so do not expect such great results with other skills. 2:02 What am I looking at? Never seen this before. Is this a glitch? 4:44 Thanks for demonstrating how Hard Mode makes combat such a drag 5:15 and how it's all about using a ton of Curatives ;)

Meanwhile other comments are calling him a genius. Finding these accurate values was not hard. The games been out for more than a decade. Lots of misinformation, sure. If they add Hard Mode to DD2, I sure hope they won't up stamina costs. That is already one of the issue with the game as is. Spending more time in inventory chugging, instead of actually doing anything.

You realize that Capcom have been colouring outside the lines with DD2, when the best Ytuber who has been steadily and passionately making videos about DDDA for years, a few months after the release of the sequel comes back to play the prequel. Hopefully, the DLC will pull off the miracle and 90% of the game mechanics will be revisited/improved.

hard mode makes lots of skills feel useless in the beginning to mid game due the stagger/knock nerf, till you get some buffy weapons later on. Antler toss wont toss anything, no goblins nor wolves. You will kill them before it does what it was made for. Even well timed hindsight sweep will just do damage, but enemies will not even stagger, meaning you will jump out of danger just to jump right back in. Downcrack wont shake a stripped saurian, but still consume half your stamina ( at ~lvl30).. Its cool for end game, specially on bbi with the op weapons. Id prefer only big mobs taking longer to fall.

Nope. I would put a 9 on Dogma1 and maybe 6 on Dogma2. Then with Dark Arisen on top of Dogma1, a 10. Can a dlc on top of Dogma2 bring a 10?
