On that front you're definitely correct, and if I saw someone do that I'd think they're a little crazy as well. Still, listening to ambiance like this doesn't automatically mean you're crazy. "On its way from the Mountains of the Morn, to the sea, the [river] Ash runs howling through a narrow cleft in the mountains, between towering cliffs so steep and close that the river is perpetually in shadow, save for a few moments at midday when the sun is at its zenith. In the caves that pockmark the cliffs, demons and dragons and worse make their lairs. The farther from the city one goes, the more hideous and twisted these creatures become, until at last one stands before the doors of the Stygai, the corpse city at the Shadow's heart, where even the shadowbinders fear to tread. @jameshall63653 жыл бұрын
@@greatwavefan397 Yeah I agree on every detail having an emotion, but not like happiness or sadness but its own ethereal feeling. I think this has links to derealisation disorder but I wouldn't leave it entirely to that, I think a very very small amount of people have a broader awareness of reality and it's emptiness. This definitely unnerved me during my teenage years but after awhile it sort of stabilises.
@greatwavefan3973 жыл бұрын
@@jameshall6365 For me, it might've just been the extreme opposite of derealization, but perhaps "hyperrealization". I remember watching the ring of fire scene from _Finding Nemo_ and letting the unknown of the bubbly deep reds grip me. I didn't just see the darkness, the reds, the bubbles... I felt them. I began having these feelings when I was a toddler. However, they've slowly faded away (edit: maybe even to the point of derealization) and have been replaced by actual emotion, logic, and aesthetic appreciation, perhaps due to emotional maturity and life's struggles. The "synesthesia" sometimes tries to return when I listen to certain types of artists, like Alexander "NightRadio" Zolotov or Hirotaka Shirotsubaki. Such feelings--even when I was younger--differed from nostalgia: I desired to explore a place or meet a person I would never meet until I shifted my reality.

This, as despairing and aimless as it sounds, actually comforts me. Kinda in a nihilistic way u know, makes my problems feel insignificant!

Great ambient mix! I heard something similar one day on the way to work, very early. My usual classical station had antenna issues and suddenly this came on instead from another station. I didn't want it to end. I felt so at peace. Keep up the good work.

The good thing about the darkness is that you can't see, and sometimes it's better that way ...

Listening to this music feels like being in the middle of a nightmare. The creepy sounds all work together to create a sense of unease and discomfort. It's like the composer is tapping into our primal fears and exploiting them for maximum effect.

Wow, I am a really big fan of both (Fahrenheit Fair Enough is timeless) and have Immolate Yourself and just had to check. You're absolutely right, I never would have noticed. Great ear you have.

Always nice to study and write essays. Atmospheric music like this makes me feel super calm, concentrated and "clear".

Locked in because of Coronavirus...weirdly this dark sound makes me feel happier
@ennordiskman99154 жыл бұрын
How is that weird? Most people get relaxed by dimned lughts and good tracks of music.. not weird or unique in any way... eeeeh
@Risingsun2943 жыл бұрын
@@ennordiskman9915 I got very relaxed too...but you know most people may feel haunted or scared by this and not relaxed...so , for a some sort of logical contradiction, its weirdness makes me feel happy
