Just bought The Harpy! Thanks for the recommendation, sounds RIGHT up my street! I need to try The Favorite Sister again. I picked it up ages ago but couldn't get into it though the premise is SO intriguing.

Such a great video Emma :) I've added a load of these to my wishlist, I'm definitely a lover of dark fiction. I'd recommend The Book Collector and The Butchers Hook.

Girls on Fire by Robin Wasserman is a great one. Very dark, very intense.

The Butcher's Hook, The Secret History, and The Vegetarian are some of my favorite dark and creepy books written by women. (Actually I didn't enjoy The Vegetarian, but it absolutely creeped me out. The same way as You Too Can Have a Body Like Mine - visceral and disturbing.)
