And the Darkness did not protest nor seek revenge. It simply shifted, allowing God's light to shine and his creations to flourish. The Darkness does not speak nor act. It simply is. It allows us to sleep. It shows us the true beauty of fire. It contrasts the Light to help us see the Light's true splendor. All without a word or thought, without a goal or motive. The Darkness simply is. Remember, the Darkness is not evil, only those who lurk in it can be evil. Those who utilize its powers poorly or for ill gain are the evil ones. The shadow in the alley was always there. But those who enter it hold good or evil. The Darkness does not side with the Evil. That is why it always gives way to the light to expose and kill the Evil.
