the music, the art, the lore: EVERYTHING about this game was absolutely perfect for it's time. It was just a marvel to play through. I wish we get DC3 at some point, even if I'm 40+ when I get it...

I remember getting this game as a kid and as I picked it up, the guy at blockbuster said “ you know they are discontinuing that and they are recalling it?”. I bought it immediately and still have it to this day. I sleep right next to a shelf that has both 1 and 2 on it. Best game and I hope one day to share it with my kids and their kids.

Words can't even describe the otherworldly effect this theme has on me. It conjures up the sensation and atmosphere of a grand journey that defines one's entire life. As much as I love Dark Cloud, this theme transcends even the story it told.

My thoughts exactly lol may the Lord bless you! :) I'd guess your a fan of JRPG's as am I and if so I recommend getting into Elder Scrolls you'll be pleasantly surprised in a decades time of you do! ;) that's all say. Start with Morrowind or Oblivion. "this theme transcends even the story it told" beautifully said.

I remember when my friends found my old copy of DC2, and I put it in my PS2 that I still have somehow, and having to pick up my jaw from the floor, because it still looks good by today's standards, I know I couldn't make something like it, even knowing how to do 3D animation.

I actually really like this game's soundtrack. It suffers from being low-budget MIDI recordings, though. I didn't notice at the time, when I was 12 or whatever, but it's a damn shame there doesn't seem to be any orchestral versions or anything.

jerrid carter Is it really 100 bucks? Dark Chronicle was the only game I didn't sell when I sold my ps2 all those years ago, I still have it to this day =P, but I play it on an emulator now, because you can force Anti Aliasing and run it at 4k.

CHICKEN X あっ北米か。北欧かと思ってたわw このゲームはクリアに下手したら1年以上かかるから(因みに俺はめっちゃ進んでたデータを2回間違えて消したりして10年以上かかってるけどなw)日本人には受けなかったのかなぁ？やり込み要素とか寄り道要素も結構あるから時間かかるのも有るけど。武器のグレードアップも楽しいし、街づくりも神。同じ様なゲームがなかなか無いからずっと遊べるし。 プロペラかスケートで移動しながらペズキャノンぶっぱなしまくったり刀振り回したり。 なにより神曲が多い。 LEVEL5は妖怪ウォッチばっか作ってる暇あったらこれの日本版HDを出して欲しい。
