When that ending credit hit after I beat DG the first time.. man the tears I shed knowing that the journey of Dark Cloud was complete, final and finished. What a ride it was, and the soundtrack just hit all the right spots.

What irks me is that once you beat the final boss of the story mode, and they have to close the future gates to prevent disturbances in the timeline.........only for Monica to come back anyway because she missed Max and the adventures they were having........it especially sucks if you didn't do EVERYTHING that could be done while in the future areas. Like for instance, getting the future pictures to make the battle mech more efficient that what you could do in the present.

Dark Cloud 2 was my very first RPG and it stands out as the one of a kind RPG legend. No game is even close 2 resemble this game in any way whatsoever. It'll always have a spot in my heart.

I finally did it to beat the boss after over 15 years. I played this game with my dad when I was around 7 years old. And to this very day this game is one of my favourites of all time and probably the game I have the most hours of playing (I would say I played this game like 15 times, around 80-150 hours so yeah; a lot of time) 😊

I think it's just a throwback to Dark Cloud's very beginning, where the book of the tale of Toan and Friends was discovered very far into the future and they wonder if it really happened, or just a fairy tale. It's a perfect way to wrap everything up... but to join the chorus: we all still want Dark Cloud 3!

Let me you tell you guys, I can't even express the amount of trouble I had with Dark Genie. He is without a doubt the hardest boss in the game. He must have beaten me over 10 times. I was at a decent level but this fight just seems unfair, not to my mention my PS4 turning it self off while I had the game paused, PAUSED! But I finally beat him and it was a great feeling. Dark Chronicle is a great game and is one of my favourite RPG's and games of all time.

Adam Clark I feel ya, he was tricky. I actually fought him a few times off cam to test him out, so I wouldn't embarrass myself lol. Lets hope with the release of DC 1 and 2 for ps4 there will be a DC3 in the near future!

Not sure if you figured this out by now but the ps4 has an auto-shutdown timer by default. So make sure to turn that off if you don’t want your ps4 turning off while paused for a few hours

Flavio Thepianist the 1st dark cloud is amazing but it has way more characters that you need to train so it can be a bit overwhelming. It’s definitely worth playing.

@@phillipd33znuts indeed, it's a shame that games like Fartnite and Bendoverwatch are dominating the airwaves of gaming today. The Dark Cloud games were awesome, the first one was plagued with glitches but it was so frigging good that it was worth exploiting the glitches to get the Flapping Duster. The second improved upon what made the first great, just sucked there were no back rooms. I feel if they were to be remade? Restore the Flapping Duster in the original, revamp the graphics and give more backstory to the Demon Shaft, also give the game a second ending after you beat Black Knight Pendragon. With the second? Give us another bonus dungeon with 100 floors, give us back rooms for each maze, and a third ending that ties up all loose ends, has Max and Monica have a child, and sets up the events for a Dark Cloud 3.

Decimate the Soul yes, hes not very hard. Just use a few stamina drinks to make up for lack of damage if need. Also Idk if you know this but you can use the name change ticket and name a weapon whatever its last stage is and itll transform to that weapon

If you have a ton of exp for Steve, you can buy his swords attachment from Cedric and they synthesize for 2 attack each. Or if you’re suffering from an overflowing wallet, then you can buy gemstones to increase the supernova’s power. I think it caps at 500.

Brian B Not really lol. After you beat him it ends the game so you cant invent with it or anything. There is a trophy to max the photography rank to 8 and you need 700 points for that so if you missed some pics and was 5-10 points off then that would get you the trophy. Other than that its pointless 😂
