I love how the Demon Shaft is a North America version exclusive, yet many of the new monsters you see here made it to the original Japanese version of Dark Cloud 2 (Dark Chronicle)!

The Demon Shaft, where you get shafted by a hundred demons on a hundred floors. Think you've "beaten" the game? No no my foolish friend you've just scratched the surface. Ascend to the top and try the games true challenge where only the true masters will prevail! ...Also I liked to whistle this song when I was at school it's super catchy XD

I damn near cried when i beat The Demon Shaft. Couldn't friggin believe it. But i finally defeated the long, hard shaft. I refused to let them shaft my butthole!

In total, it took me probably 5-6 hours to clear this entire dungeon. Grinding really helped me get my gear to where it needed to be for this dungeon and I do not regret it. Especially that boss. Black Knight was no freaking joke. It just sucks that after you get the Chronicle 2, you’re basically done with the game. Chronicle 2 is but a trophy for beating the hardest dungeon and boss in the game.

Luckily, in Dark Cloud 2, the Chronicle 2 is one of the best swords and is actually useable before you beat the game lol

@TheGeekFactor_ I don't know about that, it seems scaled-down from it's dark cloud 1 counterpart. It's max power in dark cloud 2 was 300 while dark cloud 1 was 350. It should've been 500 instead in my opinion.

Ahh, demon shaft was the only place where I felt challenged and where i witnessed critical abilities unlimited damage potential! It took out even elemental immune monsters and It worked on the final boss!

I like both games but the lack of dran's feather in dark cloud 2 is absolutely ridiculous. Obviously dran isnt in that game but a new item should have been made. Quite literally the most useful item in the first dark cloud and for some reason wasnt included in the 2nd one where the dungeons are much larger

@@travisg5416 It did live on but you didnt get its replacements until later on into the game IE those ridepod parts that make it move very fast with the first being either that motorcycle or propeller part. You wont usually get to these until the 3rd or 4th dungeon
