I once spent my birthday at a Dave & Buster's with a friend of mine, & I was already overexcited & hyperactive, so when the butt shot at 0:23 popped up when he & I sat down to play, I laughed my head off just 'cuz of how much of the screen it took up. 🤣

Hint: try not to get lots of panic attacks on every stage, or you’ll end up getting a punishment often.

what is the "punishment"? I'm guessing some sort of 4D element that probably isn't evident in this gameplay?

@@DasNordlicht91Let’s say that if a player has more than 4 panic attacks, the punishment is the seat will vibrate inside from the arcade cabin. I think.

@@DasNordlicht91 Not only will the seat vibrate, but the cabinet will blow bursts of air at your face to feel like a light punching blow.

Dark Escape 4D (known in Japan as Dark Escape 3D) is a horror-themed fixed-gun shooter developed and released by Namco Bandai for arcades. It runs on Namco System 357 hardware and come out in 2012. The game plays very similarly to the studio's earlier Deadstorm Pirates, including the same "combined shot" and "continue bonus" mechanics, the stage selection process, and the "Treasure Hunt" chance mechanic (now called "A Terrifying Decision"). It also uses a similar "closed booth style" deluxe cabinet with a large 46" LCD monitor, surround sound, and rumble seat. The game can be watched in either 2D or stereoscopic 3D. The 3D glasses are anti-bacterial and can be worn over the top of player's own glasses.

Makes me think of Time Crisis meets The House of the Dead, Saw, Resident Evil and Silent Hill, action meets horror survival game

@@GAZZ707 3d is japanese version which came out first, 4d is english/international version. There is no differences to the games besides the name

I will say this, I do love the concept of the game and I played it at an arcade and I'm sad to say I couldn't enjoy it. Not because it was too scary but it was just too damn loud. I had to stop after two minutes of play because my ears were starting to ring. I think this machine needs a volume knob or something.

I love this game but the only thing I really hate about it are the cheap hits it gives you, as well as the little life restore it gives. Eating your credits away.

So for those terrifying decisions, you have to make in the game it’s Right in the Prison and Death Chamber and Left for both the Cabin and Laboratory to get a first aid kit and to avoid a panic attack moment

yesterday i played this i always choose right for prison but most of the time I get the bad outcome (aka the jumpscare and i dont get a med kit)

IMAGINE the next Resident Evil game has a controller with a built in heart monitor, and points are deducted on how many times you've panicked and/or your heart rate jumps from multiple jump scares and such! I think half of the gamers would quit after a couple rounds!

This game has badass jumpscares, it could somehow outclass FNAF Security breach's various jumpscares. A crossover between Dark escape 4D and FNAF Security breach could be interesting. Like Gregory, Cassie, Freddy and Roxy were kidnapped by the mad scientist and William afton formed an alliance with the mad scientist. Gregory, Cassie, Freddy and Roxy must fight their way out in order to survive but armed to eliminate the enemy standing in their way, in the same way as Courtney Wall and two unknown protagonists fought their way out against enemy onslaughts.

No hate to this game ever but in Australia almost no arcades near me in NSW have this game or no one plays this game anymore, they even removed the game in Timezone Surfer Paradise 😬idk because I personally love this game a lot but I can't seem to find it anymore in 2023 so instead I play House Of The Dead Scarlet Dawn
