I went to create a fireworks display video, firstly I need a dark background. So I started doing a autonomous background that changes per video. Then I thought, I should investigate this further and put it on the Scenery channel. This will be the first video series for that channel.
So here is one of the first cuts of the video series for @OddonomousScenery .
A lot of "smoke and mirrors" here which is most of my videos currently. The background starts of with gradient of curves pointing down. The gradient is a blue/black or cyan hue and quite dark. It gets lighter the lower it gets.
The stars are then drawn with random colours (150% of the brightness) and random positions at the top. The stars use a formula which is the opposite to a circle. Circles start fat at the edges and then shrink as they get to the quarter point, stars start thin and end up fat. Circles are power of (square root points added), Stars are square root of points divided by each other.
The real magic is the scenery. Their are four solid landscapes per frame that zoom in. As it is dark you don't need detail so they use solid colours, using earthy hues of random saturation. The brightness is random from 0 to 10%
Their are just random points that start at 80% and slowly increase/decrease by .1% This is then scaled into the shown picture, the scale moves up as you go.
Sound rotates around the speakers with pure tones, a sound every 2 seconds. The pure tone fades in and out.
Actual version is 5 minutes a piece and the scenery changes more often.
Next week you'll either see a sunset video or the fireworks finally. Depends how well my sunset idea goes.
