I was at this panel and it was epic. Thank go I went to the 10th New York Comic Con 2015. It was totally worth it. Frank Miller showing up was the highlight of this panel.

Screw the haters. Frank Miller has influenced much of what comic have become now and just because of one bad book everyone loves to trash him. I think this man is a genius and I am very happy to see the positive applause when he came out to the stage. And if you are going to convince me why I shouldn't like him, don't.

Pretty awesome panel... But still, I think it´s sad that the very few privileged people who get to be there and ask questions directly to these great legends of the genera never have anything good to ask. I mean come on!! You know things got dumb when Brian answers a question with "DUH"... Man, I would really like to hear what Frank has to say about the fact that he has inspired an entire generation in such a way that his work has been beautifully (and consistently) adapted into other mediums. What he has to say about TDKR being an awesome 2 part animation movie, about Daredevil at Netflix pretty much being "The Man Without Fear", about Batman v Superman for crying out loud! Or the biggest of them all hahaha! How about the fact that after all these years people still don't really get what Frank was trying to do with The Dark Knight Returns, LOL they always market it and praise it as the book that grounded Batman, the book that wanted to get real, when in fact it was Frank Miller´s EPIC MAGNUM OPUS. He wanted it to be serious yes, to be dark yes, but never ever realistic. He hates realism...

The Goddamn Batman I never said I didn't find it funny(but it was more laughable really than anything), like the part batman said he was reduced to eating rats as he wanted to make Robin want to eat rat(that was laughable), hell even the time when batman paints everything yellow including themselves when green lantern wanted to talk to batman(that was funny tbf as it pissed GL off).Also how the hell did you think that Batman telling a twelve year old kid (who he basically kidnapped into his car) who has just witnessed his parents getting murdered that he is "dense" or "retarded" was bad ass?. Sure Jim Lees art was amazing in this book, however this book to me felt like Frank is trying so hard to make everything batman does to be bad ass. I just don't think this book was worth it as we had to wait a year because of the delays for new issues and then evidently the series just gets cancelled.

oOLanceOo alright, i can understand your point. still, i think people should in general be way more open to fm's stuff. dksa was way better and entertaining than dkr (the movie did a thousand times better of a job delivering the story. also the batman / bruce wayne voice was incredible), allstar b&r was also pretty good imo. and they continue with the story now, as it seems.

There's a reason why it's held in high regard, after the 1966 tv show Batman became pretty much a joke character in the comics and the general populace, having wacky adventures... that's where you got the Rainbow Batman suit, Detachable Arm Man... Frank Miller pretty much brought him back to his essence, which was being a dark character, vengeance incarnate, a force of nature, a creature of the night and this went on to inspire other comic book artists. Had it not been for him and you wouldn't have had the Tim Burton's Batman, BTAS, Batman Begins, TDK, TDKR, the Arkham games... the list goes on. I get it you're young and you're free to prefer the Adam West Batman and what derived from him, but think before you call something, anything, overrated.

+Zein Alfurati Adams made him less campy but I wouldn't say he made him the dark figure he is today, that was miller. TDKR revolutionized batman, which was important as watchmen had revolutionized comics. The art in TDKR was some of the best from a visual storytelling standpoint.
