Looks fantastic! I know this is technically frame arms but I would love an entire line of kits based on well known Yu-Gi-Oh monsters. Summoned Skull was always one of my favorites and other classics like Blue Eyes White Dragon and Kuriboh would be cool kits.

There are other Dark Magician Girls in the Dark Magician Girl Archetype deck. There's Berry Magician Girl, Lemon Magician Girl, Apple Magician Girl, Chocolate Magician Girl, and Kiwi Magician Girl who all spell out BLACK which was DMG's Japanese name.

Just got this kit in a bargain sale, and I love it! However, I wish there was a "normal" face piece, both eyes open and facing forward. Wish they did Dark Magician next, but Kotobukiya probably won't given the genre of the kit series.

Digimon is exclusively a Bandai property so Kotobukiya cannot make a kit from that series.

@@Alejandra-cv7rj Bandai wouldn't take the effort to make all of the pink details on this kit plastic pieces (other than the cape and skirt). They would just mold it in the base blue color and expect you to either put on stickers or paint it yourself and I can tell you rn that painting pink on blue is a bitch as it makes the color lean towards purple than pink. As much flak Kotobukiya gets for making their model kits price high, it comes with the effort that they put in their engineering. Kotobukiya does not skimp out on details and usually has a majority of the parts color accurate as possible, not to mention pre-printed and pre-painted parts.

Would you prefer to go after the Figma Dark Magician Girl? She around 80-100 USD. Know where to buy your items online at an affordable price and never gouge yourself to 2nd hand market dealers. Got mine for 60 (including shipping). Also Kotobukiya model kits are more premium figures first, model kits second. The extra cost is for the extra engineering and color separation details that Koto puts their effort into compared to Bandai. We're just seeing Bandai slowly bringing back pre-printed and pre-painted parts with the Figurise line (btw Bandai use do this until they stopped in the 90s for reasons still unknown), yet Koto been doing it since they started doing mecha musume kits way back in the late 2000s with the PSO kits.

An ATK/DEF plate is included as a bonus item in Japan. I think you had to buy directly from Kotobukiya to get it.

Hey Zaku, in your opinion do you think it’s worth the price? Seems like $70-ish US is steep for a rather basic model. I just feel that in that price range a Zoids or Hexa gear kit is the better value.

Depends on what you want Finished figure of this size & accecories cost 100 to 200 U$ Resin kits will cost more or less depending on its volume If we're talking about detail & shape, yeah lots of other thing will beat it Its warhammer small miniature vs gunpla model kit kind of talk the producer decide what market wants, the consumer decide what is popular

Reverse wash would be best but alternatively you could do it carefully by brush or paint marker
