Man, I was trying to figure out that roll pin forever. I have a drift, it's not long enough so I put it in a socket extension. But no matter what size extension I went with, it was freaking impossible to get a good hammer swing on the thing. I couldn't make it go anywhere. Then I see this video series and I knew you would have to do something with that pin. And I just knew you would have a good idea for this and explain it in great detail. Thanks a ton man, a hand nailer is way cheaper than what a shop would want, and I've been wanting one anyway. You're one of the best Subaru channels on youtube man, appreciate it.

I love the organization of all the hardware on the desk. I know that took some real effort and planning. It just feels awesome to see such clear, clean explanation. You're a master of presentation! Super cool details. Your videos are amazing. If I could spend the time you do on my videos about building trailers I would probably never have to explain anything about the prices of them. People would probably try to give me more money than I am asking for!

This is really cool. I ordered a 2022 WRX, and already ordered the STI short-throw shifter. However, it doesn't fix the cable linkages problem. Does installing this void any part of the OEM warranty, other than the shifter itself? Like, if a synchro goes, will they blame it on the Dark Matter shifter?

Why are these bether than normal short shifters? The Bearings are outside and can destroyed by mud and Water and heat from the Downpipe. Has it been tested? It's nothing for me and it's too expensive for what it is, thats my opinion.

That ball in cup bs is gone. Nothing like downshifting and the shifter popping out .

@@christopherhuff3123 sorry my english is not so good, I don't understand that. Why ist the shifter popping out?

I’m gonna install it and I’ll let you know what I think. I think there’s enough airflow to expel the heat but I do see your point there. As far as wear and tear from the elements, that’s a good point too, we’ll see how much were and tear that take before failing. Might be many years before any issues.

I agree - especially for a high HP engine when a mis shift could cause damage. This shifter should be much for precise for each shift.

@@SubaruONLY Yes I think it's last many years but how many.

Seems kinda meh since it's all 3d printed. Kinda find a 3d printed item more of a prototype compared to a final product
@SubaruONLY3 жыл бұрын
You nailed it! This IS a prototype, NOT the production ver. That’s why I’m installing it, to give feedback to help tweak the final production version with the manufacturer.

3D printed parts should’ve been machined steel. Whoever designed it didn’t perform any FEA or structural analysis.
