It's a major franchise, so even if 90% of ppl hate it, which I highly doubt is true, there is always a chance to break even in the box office.

The Sci-Fi Dragon usually most people regret of saying bad things about the movie being horrible and it turns out to too good. Everyone knows avengers endgame will be 2019 movie of the year. Dark Phoenix trailer looks boring, but anything is possible.

I know I'm going against the popular opinion, but this will probably be one of the better X-Men movies, but it won't do as well in theaters. I think it will make a lot of money in secondary markets though. People will want this for their physical media collection.
