For anyone wondering why the film felt rushed: the studio actually forced Simon Kinberg to condense what he wanted to be two films into one, and so he couldn't tell the story as well as he wanted. I still happened to love it. The cast (especially Turner, McAvoy, Chastain, Hoult, Fassbender, and Sheridan), the visuals, and especially the score were great, and I wish I had seen it in theaters and that it had succeeded. Jean Grey aka Phoenix is not purely evil but just a flawed and misunderstood person. She is a humanly representation of the inner conflicts and vulnerability of a person's mind and heart. However, it is important to remember that no matter how we are treated by others, it is better for us to forgive those who have disowned and mistreated us just as how Jean forgives Charles for deceiving her by hiding her traumatic childhood. It is proven that only forgiveness and hope can repair one's heart and composure rather than vengeance and anger. We all can make mistakes but for as long as one is conscious about the transgressions made and repent then there is hope for the world.
@kailenne71494 жыл бұрын
It was wrongly portrayed cause jean and phoenix are different entities. Jean being a powerful beautiful human with the mutant gene and phoenix being a powerful force, not human. Phoenix is insatiable and a destructive entity. It possessed many people over the time. So yeah we cant address them as being the same. They will never be the same...
@olgareiss50604 жыл бұрын
Jeremy, (my apologies, I'm not exactly sure what your name is, just making an educated guess) I'm in full agreement with you about forgiveness vs. vengeance. Vengeance will never cure anything, it just is an easier path for most of us than to forgive....but if we all give into our anger during tribulations, will we live fulfilling lives? Also, let us hope against hope. Thank you for sharing your insightful post with us. I have actually never watched _Jean Grey_ aka _Phoenix_, but from what you shared, it looks like an interesting movie... I love powerful soundtracks, but rarely do I ever watch any of the movies. lol

Just saw the film, even though im not fully versed in the Phoenix storyline the film takes a far darker and realism based approach which is something i thought was good for the franchise. i don't entirely agree with how critics treated it . I realize the film has continuity issues but when it comes down to it this is our final xmen film from fox so im more than willing to let this pass. The score by hans electrifies the film's tension and build up to the climax. Simon Kinberg deserves more credit then critics would give him, the film has issues but the overarching narrative and build up diminishes these issues. i quite enjoyed the films change of gears from other x men films of the past

Our human emotions and desires can sometimes overwhelm us instinctively whenever we felt betrayed by our loved ones, but solving violence with violence is a forlorn attempt. Thus, we need to come to terms with the past and our inner demons by making peace with them. Jean Grey realises that the only enemy she needs to fear is herself and by doing so, manages to regain her humanity and sense of trust by channelling and converting that fear into courage in a heroic attempt to save and protect her family.

In the movie, Phoenix says her emotions do not make her weak but they make her stronger and more confident for the good of others. Hats off and kudos to Jean Grey.

This music was not only amazing for the Phoenix herself, but felt the most like "X-Men" of any other theme music in all the movies. This movie was missing something, and felt like it was trying too hard to be edgy here and there, but the music finally gave me a *real* X-Men feel.

This is so good, I have goosebumps and tears in my eyes. Well done Hans Zimmer, thank you for your work. I love everything about this. Enjoyed the movie quite a bit as well. It just needed to be longer. Definitely not the worst X-Men film, absolutely not.

Absolutely. Incredible...one of the best super heroes movies ever. Dark, brutal, atmospheric, insane cast and acting. Impressive by all means and of course...one of the best scores by Hans that was absolutely connected with the scenes. Not a film for 12 year old kids.... It was MOVIE...A REAL MOVIE. Not a kindergarden place. I don't understand why most people or critics slammed it. Shame... Fuck critics.

OST and the visual effects is the only good this movie has. The rest is indescribable levels of purely emotional stupidity added by feminism garbage. It's typical junk mostly produced by Hollywood for the past 15 years.

I honestly love his work..even if it's in the wrong films. Even if the movie flopped..Hanz didn't flop. He hit hard just like he always does. He pulled through for those of us that enjoy OST's. I am so thankful that you uploaded all this. When it comes to Hanz..i don't need every song to take my breath away every second. I like when i don't know he's about to pull some crazy composition in the middle of a track or something. It's a rollercoaster of his own design everytime. Of course there are tracks that i like more than others but i appreciate ever single one.
