When i listen to the original i can imagine something old and abandoned somewhen long ago - with no hope to return all in its place, only scary halls. But when i listen to this one, i imagine a kingdom not enterily abandoned yet. I see how its walls are crushing and citizens die - something terrible is happening, that will make halls of the palace empty. Something that will make the original song the theme of the place

Holy shit dude, this is amazing. Dark reality was always a phenomenal piece, but I felt like there could have been more done before it typically repeated in the game. You have fulfilled that fantasy. Well fucking done!

totally different vibe than the original, this feels like a kingdom clinging to the last scraps of might, while the original is a long forgotten kingdom since abandoned, very cool

tbh all this needs is much more pronounced and nuanced dynamics and it would be stellar. Not saying it's bad, the composition is really good and it distinguishes itself in tone quite a bit from the original with the instrumentation, but dynamics will bring it to life. everything should be swelling and waning with a very gradual crescendo, growing larger until around 1:35-1:40, big drop off at 1:45. most importantly 4:15 to 4:45 really needs to be driven home as the height of the piece. but yeah definitely subbing.

@@heirofmelancholy7184 If you don't mind me asking, what software/VSTi's/instruments are you using in the production of your orchestral pieces?
@heirofmelancholy71843 жыл бұрын
In the older tracks I mostly used EastWest Symphonic Orchestra, after that I tried some libraries from 8Dio, but never really felt comfortable using most of them. So after doing a bit of research I decided to take a closer look into Spitfire and their libraries are pretty much perfect for the kind of music I like to write. Therefore a lot of sounds you hear in the newer tracks come from Spitfire VST's. The potato on which I write music at the moment will probably soon go up in flames or implode, so after this inevitable event (and after buying a new PC) I plan on completely focusing on Spitfire libraries for all the orchestral stuff I do.
@barrierloss3 жыл бұрын
@@heirofmelancholy7184 Spitfire is really great, I only have LCO but I really like it, it's fairly comprehensive. Their libraries get pretty expensive but seems like every option at that level does. Whatever you use, keep up the good work! I'm really enjoying it.

Consider playing it if you liked the Souls games :) the KF are not exactly accessible, but KF IV in my opinion might be the easiest to get into. KF II(jp) still is my favorite I think but the textures are all the same everywhere so it takes a few hours, maybe more to know where you're going, and KFIII has really well written NPCs but lacks the interconnected zones and level design that made the Souls / Fields what they are. Also while KF I/II/III follow the same storyline, KF IV is independant so you don't have to go through another game to know how it ends if you don't really like it :p
@HappyPotato2233 жыл бұрын
@@g0r467 adding on to you, i believe if they really wanted to, all they would have to do is search for a ps2 abd a copy of the ancient city, since i believe that ancient city is our kings field IV, since our kings field I is in actuality Japan's kings field II

Super late to this, but it almost feels cosmically desolate in the sense you're standing out in an empty dead field at the end of the world gazing up at the stars as they all slowly fade away one-by-one. Leaving you staring up at an expanse of black waiting for the moment the light of the Sun bouncing off the Moon is snuffed out. Engulfing your senses in pure, utter darkness. At least that's the impression I get from this piece.
