I had this type of take about dhruv rathee for a long time and today saw you addressing it. Also I saw the 'betting-gambling app' video and that was equally good. But I have a point to make, I think Dhruv deliberately becomes this much aggressive, he'll never act like Nitish or Mohak because he understood the basic mindset of people of this subcontinent. This video is one of the most unbiased ones I've seen in years. Props. That said, here's the thing that I love that you pointed out. People who just tend to uselessly spam comments in favour or against Dhruv Rathee or anybody for that matter, they are actually fooling themselves and not helping the situation at all. I have been following Dhruv for 5 or so years from now and my mentality regarding politics has increased a lot. It just baffles me that people just comment to either hate on or appreciate Rathee or XYZs work. You don't need to, express your argument and discuss why do you think it's what you believe. Yash Budania your analysis has lot of flaws, if you check the pattern of Modi rule over ten years where he implemented Lotus operations across various states to form BJP governments using money and muscle power(ED, CBI, IT etc), rigging local elections i.e. Chandigarh mayor election where SC has to overturn the results. All the non BJP governments have to go SC to get their normal works done. Electoral bonds implemented by Modi even though SBI said at the time it is illegal. I've been watching Dhruv for 3 years and only in the last year, as he's begun to become bigger, as elections have crept close and he's tried harder, and as I've analysed Mohak and Nitish's approaches with similar content, I came to the EXACT same conclusion as you. Dhruv's approach, however, in the present situation, is also a double edged sword. On one hand, making a cult around himself makes people less informed and more arrogant. But on the other hand, since the common citizen only seeks black and white opinions, a video like Mohak's or Nitish's might not give them an idea of what action they should take. True, Dhruv targets the BJP to a disproportionate level. However, even if someone researches on their own, finding out all the shams the opposition has pulled too, and then does a rational analysis, the final conclusion would be that it is way too risky to give Modi another chance. Mohak and Nitish's content is pure and unbiased, but it's also "made" for people whose reason is pure and unbiased, those who have the guts to hear facts. And those people are a small minority. Dhruv himself belongs to it. Mohak, Nitish, or another neutral KZbinr's content would satisfy someone from this niche class of rationals. But a revolution cannot be brought about without the support of the black and white visioned masses, and Dhruv's content is for those simple sheep that a democracy rests on. Obviously, we can look at it alternatively and conclude that he makes his content more sensational just to increase his popularity and earnings. And then, the other edge of the sword is that this radicalised "army" might end up becoming the andhbhakts of an opposition-led government in the future. Indeed, some of them are adding to this prophecy in the comments right here, saying things without watching the video. Dhruv's content is the need of the perhaps eleventh hour of democracy, but only for as long as the clock doesn't strike 12.
