What people dont tend to realise is, even with 8% growth rate, we will only br around 6x in around 23 years using formula of 72. Which means we will be around 18-24 trillion which isnt enough for a population of around 2bn as our per capita fit the criterion to be a developed economy. We need arounx 10-12% growth. Raghuram Rajan is just a Congress spokesperson. Earlier, he clearly mentioned that if Congress wins, he would like to have finance ministry. However, India may be a developed country by 2100, if everything goes fine.
