You are absolutely right to dislike or even be enraged with the 'secret baby just because' trope. Children need their parents, and fathers are significant, it's very wrong to rob a child of their father and a father of their child unless for a super good reason- like those you mentioned. I too find that enraging (maybe enraging is my word, not yours, but that's just how i feel) fathers are important (unless they are bad/abusive people obv). Fathers are incredibly important, and I feel society doesn't give the role of fatherhood the credit is most definitely deserves.

I agree. My cousins ex girlfriend kept their little girl from him and had her adopted out before we knew she was born. 😭😭 she had great adopted parents and she was very loved... but he never even got a say. My aunt never got to meet her first grandchildren as she died 10 years ago. But. My cousin got to go his daughters wedding last summer. 🥹🥹 but we lost 22 years.

Yeah... it's wild. Life is weirder than books sometimes. So when I say Secret baby is a trigger... I am absolutely series. 😅 no patience for women just... not wanting to tell. I've seen how it can break a man that I love. 😢
