The old sergant now knew why he wasn’t executed it was to suffer he had received orders from a high ranking official who it was the orders didn’t say all that it did say though was that he was to be transferred to one Lavinia karst’s army and as he now knew his personal hell the paperwork alone would kill lesser men and almost drew the sergant to use his magelock pistol to finish the job that his deployment here had started that’s not to mention the commander herself a narcissist child with the tactical brilliance of a dull rock though granted that’s half the nobles of the empire nowadays and now the sergant was looking at the plans put in front of him to go into a soul eating tomb of ancient times for the “glory” of the empire the old sergant let out a long sigh and returned to his work praying that he would be freed from this hell by something

I always get such great ideas from your playthroughs. Would love to hear more about your process for developing these backstories before you start a campaign. Edit: Just a note, enemies that only appear when you're right next to their tile were camoflauged in water.

Sorry for taking so long to reply, KZbin shows the most recent comments first, which leads to some getting gobbled up. But yes, as for my process, I generally build each of them off or the others. I tend to create settings with the intent of using them multiple times. So I try and cross reference to other aspects of the setting so that as much feels interconnected as possible. I hope that helps with any ideas you might come up with, and I'm glad these playthroughs can inspire. Feel free to comment about any ideas you do get (I'd love to know!)

The dragoons work fine for me, so I think it is indeed a mod that gives you problems with them.

Yeah it's the cultural units extended mod. The dev knows of the issue and will fix it when he/she has time though. So hopefully we'll get our dragoons soon.

@@TheAshHeritor just out of curiosity, have you tested turning it off yet? I don't really have a game where I can test myself but it feels like Digger at Arms is taking their time with getting stuff updated and while I'm hoping they'll get an update out before empire vs empire combat starts, I'm kinda worried that they don't and we have a weird situation where you have to fight invisible Barrette Knights, or something for most the narrative which would suck. Edit: Ah saw your other comments, Welp... let's hope DaA works fast.

Hey Ash, I know you love themed game play so I thought I'd tell you about my latest and see what you think. The playthrough is called "Bastion's Last Stand". It's kind of a story based challenge mode. The Setup: Extra Large Island Map Endless Plains Rampant Undeath Massive Underground Ruined Realm (so citiy states are very rare) 5 Civs (you and 4 AI) If you want more of a challenge add even more AI civs. All the AI players must have 2 traits Underground Adaptation and Ritualistic Cannibals ( ie: C.H.U.D) do whatever you want wih the rest. I personally lean toward undead for the AI, but in your game do whatever you want. You as the player may only use your inital city (ie: The Bastion). All the outposts you want, but just the one city. All the AI Civs are on team 2, you the player are team 1, so it's 4 vs 1 (or more if you like). No win conditions except for total annihilation. Either Bastion (which is the surname of my Hero, and the name of his one town) survives and you win, or the last Bastion falls, and the CHUD rule the world. The Short Story: Benedictus Bastion is a retired Sea Captain living quietly in the town named after his family. With only sporadic contact with the outside world Benedictus and the people of Bastion had no idea the rest of the world had succumbed to the Black Plague. That is not until the first "survivor" washed ashore and began attacking and eating the locals. After putting the despicable creature down, the townspeople requested that Benedictus lead the local milita to see what was going on outside of their sleepy little harbor town. And there as they say "The Adventure Begins". Hope you like it, feel free to give it a go yourself. I'm playing it as a Reaver, with a mostly Order/Materium slant, with a small doese of fire magic tossed in. Gotta burn the corpses so they don't come back right? That said you can play your Bastion any way you like. It's your game. Have Fun :)!

Sorry for taking so long to reply. But yes that sounds like an epic idea, and a cool theme for a campaign. I definitely want to do a cool last stand style campaign at some point. Of course, likely featuring our resident spider cult as the antagonists. And I hope the Bastion held for you!

Metropolitan Society actually gives the throne city itself +10% income, so it is good to get even if no other cities border it.

Yeah, there's a rudimentary naval system. They're just units like any other. Hope sea-stuff gets reworked further though.

@@TheAshHeritor can you tell me where ? when i buillt a city by the sea , i did let its direct beach empty ,then after i got the shipyards built i still could build only a fishing farm . and for unite recruiting i only see terrestrial unite nothing naval . if you have that shown in the videos can you tell me what episode ?

I've noted a fair amount of issues other people are having with the new version. My advise would be to make sure mods are to date and if you have to remove them make sure removing said mod isn't going to break your save

Yeah unfortunately I can't disable the mod that is causing the problem. On the plus side, the developer of that mod will be fixing it as soon as he/she has time. So we'll get dragoons eventually.

@@TheAshHeritor Good to hear I figured it was the case, though I'm glad that's the issue there have been some wonky bugs with the new DLC for unmodded. Something that happens from time to time. Hopefully it will all be fixed at least the devs are more proactive and fix things faster then CA does with Total War games instead the modders have to fix their stuff for them.

Something had set the Overseers abuzz they requested more arms, more power, more damned Iron Golems that he still had no method of making just yet. The cause of this worry was unknown to most, but those of his standing and position had learned through their own little grapevines. Black ships spotted and their cargo was the chittering doom itself. The wider masses were kept in the dark for now but it was clear that the Hand of Marr was already readying itself for a war of pure survival. A new order was placed on the desk of the forge master. Rites and stamps of approval from the Overseers. Permissions to enchant all new weapons with runes of holy fire. An act that might have once been reserved for only the elite was to be passed on to every soldier and mercenary to be deployed now. Necessity truly was the mother of invention. No there were no golems of iron coming from the vast forges of the artificer guild, but now all who oppose the will of Marr will be reduced to cinders.

My advise if you want to play Warhammer 3 mod it out like I do, its got an amazing amount of mods that make the game way more fun and give way more options. Thank you modding community for ensuring the game stays alive and well even if CA does decide to fuck things up

Oh yeah for sure. I love playing it modded. I just want the latest dlc, but am not willing to pay the ridiculous price they've charged for it. So I'm waiting till that is 50% off, and will pick it up then. There's also the issue (which is particularly relevant for let's plays), that nearly every update completely breaks your saves. Which is not ideal if you plan on doing a long let's play. But indeed, modded Warhammer TW is fantastic.

Point of it all CA is run by idiots. As for the DLC itself overpriced does not over enough for that price point and we didn't get large reworks for the races added by the DLC to fix existing problems they have, looking at Kislev which got shafted the most by the DLC, granted the new units are fine but the underlying issues Kislev has remains not to mention Mother Ostankya's campaign does not remotely feel like it should by having Boyars leading armies instead well say an Ungol lord or a Hag Lord. Man CA really dropped the ball on this one. They also are footing the bill to us for their stupidity with Hyenas which was doomed from the start as it was breaking into a market that was oversaturated and was a game that was out of their area of expertise not to mention failed to really stand out from what I've seen. Hyenas was a failure on CA's part not Sega though as Sega axed it, what happened was CA overpromised with it Sega was normally hands off then realized CA was losing them money so they've woken up and are actually going out of their way to correct the issue, by killing Hyenas and giving CA a serious overhaul internally, firing unnecessary staff and I'm fairly certain likely axing a large number of execs only they can't talk about their firings because NDAS and because CA behaves like China does when it comes to constructive criticism by censoring it and trying to ruin those that make it
