The reason the demon titianite respawns is a glitch in the coding and fromsoft just allowed since no other demon respawns so it makes it easier to farm titanite

If you want to do dlc (it's better to do it before gwyn) go to the archives and kill crystal golem, he will drop item needed for dlc, then go to the hydra in darkroot garden, at the left end of the map golden crystal golem will appear, kill him and restart the game, the portal to the dlc will show, if you kill gwyn and choose one of two endings you will be teleported to N+ so you will have to beat O&S again to gain access to archives

About Solaire, you can actually save his life. Nobody do it on first run unless they use a guide haha. If you open a certain shortcut (next to the Fair Lady, the sister of Queelag that you monster murdered), you can reach the place where you fight Solaire before he find this sun worm that mess with his head and kill it. That way, Solaire will not wear it and lose his mind. If you save him on this last step of his quest, he will be available to help you when you fight his father.

bringing Queelag's fury sword into Demon Ruins is unironically a good idea as (almost) all demons are weak to fire damage in general fire damage is an overpowered damage type in ds1 as you mostly fight undead and corporeal beings who are all weak to fire damage (even the final boss is)

For real, I would not have noticed the sound effects being added in if you hadn't said anything! You legit did a great job! It's a positive that you took that setback as an opportunity to be honest, and even do comedy about it with the squeaky footsteps - you could even lean into that MORE in the future, if it happens again! Slapstick comedic added sound effects is part of your editing style, so this was quite on brand, W's all round

Lost Izalith was supposed to be this big grand area but they ran out of time so they had to copy paste a bunch of old enemies to try and get the game out. I hope one day we get a demons souls level remake and they leave everything the same except they make a few late game areas how they originally wanted if they had the time

So for bed of chaos if you have your equipment weight below 25% It is a lot easier to roll through the arm swings. There is also a ring that changes your roll animation and increases s which makes it a piece of cake.

Holy shit, going into a boss fight with 64k souls is crazy! I always went back after collecting a couple thousand of souls. I kind of envy you how fearless you just keep on going. BTW, you did know that first boss. It was the one & the same that gave you the lordvessel. XD the boy dresses like a girl & uses an illusion to look the part. X} It's almost like it was weird that a child of the lord of cinder is sooo 'big' given the size of the lord. X} That and spoilers, that 'illusion' is purposefully not complete, with parts of the back you'd have to be a sneaky goblin to see, are not there. This is notable because even super low polly out of the way non collision details have 'complete' models, much less anything you're close enough to render in full quality, even if you can't see one or two angles of it.

Another great playthrough, though I'd have to warn you about something, when you get to Seath for the first time in Duke's Archives, I recommend equipping a 'rare' ring of sacrifice immediately, though you wouldn't need it again for the second time. If you don't do this, it'll make your game harder, and you'll lose your souls and humanity.

IIRC Gwyndolin corridor is not infinite so you could eventually catch him. Bed of Chaos runback is bad, but "final" boss (false king" in Demons's Souls and Old Hero might be worse. FK run was so bad they added shortcut in the remake.

Someday I want From to do a complete remake of Dark Souls literally from the ground up. I want to see some of those areas from the last half turned into something awesome. They're the best lore areas and they suck because the game was getting rushed out the door. Dark Souls with a second half as good as the first would be just about as perfect as it gets. I actually kind of like Tomb of the Giants, but I get the hate. Lost Izalith, though, is such a freaking travesty that it's amazing we all forgive it as much as we do. Every time I've replayed Dark Souls I hesitated because I knew it meant that at some point I'd have to go through that headache-inducing poop-colored nightmare of a level and fight BoC.
