Dark Souls 2 - Fast and easy way to reach Frigid Outskirts boss (Lud and Zallen)

If Dark Souls 2 can be considered sadistic, the Frigid Outskirts would be the first reason. Most annoying part is road to the boss, which can hardly be beaten in first try.
The video shows you more or less straight path to the boss, which you can follow without despawning all horses. But you still need help of two summons and probability of success is only ~75%.
P.S. I recommend to get Vendrick blessing on a crown to never go hollow: darksouls2.wiki...

@@metalyzer I tried to navigate that area and couldn't so I checked a walkthrough and then said to myself, fuck it i'm not doing that. this area sucks. honestly I don't really hate lost izalith that much, it's a tough area and a poorly designed one as well, but you can at least navigate it, unlike that shit.

4 minutes to get a boss with seemingly infinite horse enemies that chase you the entire way there with a nearly constant blizzard and then once at the boss it’s just a more powerful reskin that can kill you in nearly 1 hit with full havels set and drains a ridiculous amount of stamina each hit dark souls 2 really does have the best dlc

I've now beaten all SotFS bosses except Lud & Zallen, I haven't even seen them. I find zero motivation in myself to run through this blizzard over and over again. The "fast way" to get back to the boss takes almost 4 minutes, this is not difficult this is a waste of time. Good video though.

After the passage to the blue smelter demon I was like that was the worst possible area in this game. Then it was the last boss left to kill. And the area before them is ridiculous. I rather deleted the game and I will get rid of it...

Ds2, the game where you find your self advancing slowly, carefully, enjoying the scenery, level design and loots. But than you die to bullshkit like fighting 4 FLYING KIRINS at once with impaired vision. The npcs are basically tanks and only do chip damage of course. So you end up running breezing to the boss without looking back without giving a fuck about the level. Nice fucking design. This happen too so many times in ds2

So glad the DLCs come free with the game now, imagine paying for this. This area feels like it was designed by the person in a group project who looked at what the others were coming up with, decided it was too much effort, so just submitted a big empty area with what they thought was a clever twist of not being able to see zappy Rudolphs coming at you, then copy and pasting 2 of their teammates boss creation from earlier because creating a new boss as well would just be too much hassle. This is the first boss where I'm genuinely considering just skipping, I hope whoever designed this area is no longer creating games.

idk. It's pretty unique and I like it. But to play it through is a ... annoyance. If they would make a short cut for the boss it would be ten times better.

beat them. If you don't want to solo, Vengarl and the cleric help you a lot. But I think the other tiger joins faster with 2 phantoms. Jumped in when the 1st one was at 70%. PS: get some repair powder and Charcoal Resin ready (used 3 each, thanks Katana durability)

Even without the stupid horses, this is an insanely long run back to the boss, which imo is a terrible thing to do in a game that where you're meant to fail and retry the boss over and over until you win. Dark Souls is usually great with bonfire placement from the boss, I have no idea what FromSoft was thinking.

my guess is that they wanted to force everybody to try summon mechanics. The idea of the area is cool though. They just had to put another bonfire somewhere.

@@alanklm my guess is that someone high up on the team thought that difficulty is what people liked Dark Souls for and cranked it up to 13 out of 10 for the DLCs. I'm actually so glad they effectively got rid of boss runs in Elden Ring.
