So after watching Lobos and his challenge/speed runs of both DS1 and DS2 for quite some time now, I thought "what the hell" and tried to recreate this run. I've never even attempted any speedruns or challenge runs in DS2. Six hours later, I'm still stuck at Rotten 3 and thinking of finally giving up. The funny thing is the more you fail, the harder it gets, since you run out of consumables and stuff like that ;) I've had great respect of Lobos' skill, but now, my respect is OVER 9000. It all looks so easy...

I actually agree with this; when DS2 first came out, I hated it due to the many changes they made and the fact that they didn't deliver on the graphical quality they promised, but now it's really grown on me and become one of my favorite games of all time. Room for improvement, sure, but a fantastic achievement nonetheless.

***** Also at 57:58 you said you took off your shield for Flynn's ring damage but the ring doesn't work like that. It goes off of your maximum equipment load, not how much you've equipped. Once your maximum equipment load goes past 60 you start losing damage. The wiki suggests 10 vitality and third dragon ring since it'll put you at 60.2 and thus you'll only lose one point of damage from the ring.

The Drangleic sword is a fine, fine weapon. Although I don't know why it works so good when there are many other weapons who on paper seem like they would work better but in fact work worse.

I run a Faith/Dex build and it's my sword of choice. A scaling in dex is something you cant beat.

Alexander Coryn my first couple of times against him he turtled the entire goddamn time. I think the AI might have borked or something because he kept raising his shield and slowly strafing left, no matter how many times I guard broke him and smacked him around.

Meh. I agree with Lobos. Story wise the Last of Us was amazing, but it didn't really offer anything new to gameplay. It was basically just a shooter with stealth and survival mechanics. You had no choice but to follow the story and couldn't really explore much.

galactic626 I don't agree...The Last of Us had plenty of opportunities for exploration, such as poking around in abandoned buildings and such. I love that sort of thing, having a keen interest in urban exploration, so getting to look around and find all the little prizes Naughty Dog placed around was fantastic. Sure, the game is very "on rails," but I'd rather have a focused, story-driven experience than something too open-ended and without any sense of direction. But to each their own!

he puts in on while he is getting the souls from the boss , increasing the gain. He is not wearing it during the boss fight because he has more agility naked , so he times it just after the boss fight and before he actaully gets the soul

Peace Master As far as I know, you will recover stamina faster the lighter you are. The 70% and 30% weight's just change your rolls.
