This took me a long time to make, and had to get into New Game++ and mess up my stats so I could use the weapons. I only have a few of the names, and the Japanese doesn't translate well at all so I just put who the weapon belongs to for now. I'm pretty sure I used all the possible moves, weapon arts etc but it's not easy when I can't read the weapons abilities. All these weapons are obtained by purchasing them with the souls you get from bosses. Hope you enjoy :) This will probably be the last video I will be making on the JPN version. I will have the English version some time this week so I will be continuing to make videos such as all the spells, rings, miracles, gesture etc locations.

I just maxed out yhorms great axe for my str build ( have 50 str because I was using fume ultra fun sword before the nerf and after the nerf, still strong but eh) with 50 strength it hits harder and faster than fume ultra funsword. People aren't expecting the damage to be so high when pvping lol, you can land two hits on a person easily and usually get the kill in those two hits. Also....its weapon art is fantastic. Free weapon buff that also changes the R2? And adds like 100 more damage? Uh yes please. Tl;dr - if your a strength build junkie like me then use yhorms great axe :P it's basically fume ugs before nerf hehe. And it's weapon art doesn't take a long time to use. Also if you're out of mana or fp rather, it will still work. Haven't seen anyone use it against me yet and I'm surprised. At level 5 it gets an A in strength but for some reason it out scales fume ugs. And it's, pun incoming, AXEtually (actually) ridiculously fast and almost as long as fume ugs. Hehe

I honestly can't decide which one is best, the choice is too damn hard. Good thing I'm running a Quality build that can use all of the above first playthrough! (save MLG and possibly the Dragonslayer Spear due to Int/Fth requirements, I'll just run them on my later characters. Everything looks fucking sick, but If I had to choose a favorite, I think Yhorm's Guillotine and Abyss Greatsword are very swag)

Leider Hosen I want the Dancer's full set, including weapons, Gundyr's Halberd, the sword from Nito 2.0, and I still can't decide for which of the Prince's weapons I want first, and I will go for the Stormdrake's weapon from the Nameless King fight. Regular weapons will be Lothric Knight Sword, Great Scythe, Drang Spears, and Fume Ultra Greatsword for late NG+and further playthroughs. That sword is obscene in this game. I wish I can get the Silver Knight weapons. For shields, I'll pick the Shield of Want for extra souls, Black Knight Shield, and Grass Crest as placeholder. Dancer's swords sadly require 9 of Int and Fai with no scaling, so that might affect starting class.

Drn Montemayor I'm going Pyromancer as my starting class. I'm going to have lots of attunement for those sick weapon arts anyway, so having just enough to run all the base pyromancies with no extra investment, plus good starting attunement, faith, intelligence, and strength just makes it a very well rounded class for the early game. I'm going for 40/40 Strength/Dex, and meeting the 50 Vit hardcap, because when you're of the glorious melee masterclass, you want to be as tanky as possible (might scale down, but no lower than 40). I'll put my armor together as I go, Fashion Souls takes experimenting, but it's definitely going to be in that middle tier, no really heavy stuff since I'm spreading those levels thin to meet a fair SL 130 cap, and don't want to fatroll. I definitely want enough poise to take a hit or two for the weapon arts, but defenses are going to be lessened in favor of high aggression and damage output from the Weapon Arts. Attunement will be 20-30, everything else is on the fence since I don't know how effective some of the stats will be, it takes experimenting. Rings will be Ring of Favor (everything you could ever want), Prisoner's Chain (if it's as good as the favor ring, having both will lower my defense but having TWO levels of extra Health, Stamina, and Endurance is so goddamn awesome. Otherwise, Havel's for me.), Farron Ring (Extra Weapon Art mileage, may experiment with others though), and Untrue Black Ring (Fashion at all costs). To round if off, my left hand will have a medium shield and Pyro Flame, and my right will see a little of everything, plus a Longbow for shooting down chuggers or Turtles (it can pierce shields now).

Sad thing about most of the boss weapons is that many tend to be rather mediocre at best compared with even starting weapons. A prime example is the Dancer's Enchanted Swords (compared with the Sellsword Twin Blades). The Dancer of the Boreal Valley turns into a walking Unkindled shreader with them, but for the player, you inflict the equivalent of a paper cut. The scaling is also extremely low for a boss weapon (D rank on STR/DEX/INT/FAITH), even when maxed. At the least it should have an A rank in Dex with B in faith/int/str to make if feel more like an actual boss weapon.

Changing the boss weapons a bit: Gundyr's halberd doesn't need to change. Vordt's hammer needs a freezing mist AoE when using perseverance. Greatwood's weapons also shouldn't change. Change the crystal toothpick to the actual crystal ball the crystal sage uses. Give us the arch decon's great staff from the boss fight instead of the covenant but make it worth it. Change the farron sword's weapon art from parrying to the original stomp into a charging attack with the R2 but also make it so that it buffs it self after wards. Does the wolf knight sword need to change at all? I don't think walnir's weapon needs to change. Profaned swords should have it's golf swing as an R1 and an AoE explosion as an R2 all after a special stomp but the R2 AoE need a longer time to start and needs more fp. The sword of judgement need a greater range and size with it's moon wave and now it's an R1 after a stance, the R2 is going to be a moon beem/blast that has a greater speed and tracking with a higher range than the moon wave but needs a higher amount of fp and takes a longer time then moon wave to start. And soul wielding both of pontiff's weapon will give you special stance that is the same way pontiff stands and every button will give you a unique combo, The R1 is unique not just hitting with right weapon you have, the L1 is unique, the R2 is unique, the L2 is but you need to watch out for your stamina and you need both weapons to be fully upgraded at +5. For aldrich give us the golden ritual spear but change it so that it creates a blade when attacking and returns to staff form when using a spell. Make the dark moon long bow create a beam when using the weapon art and make so that it actually break shields when using the weapon art. Yhorms machete should have a fire buff to it and creates a very small AoE explosions when attacking. I have nothing for yhorm's shield other than making the poise buff actually work. For the dancer I'll swap the magic sword with dark sword and change the colour from purple to black/dark purple I'll also increase the damage of the weapon art. The dragon slayer great axe should have a unique stance where the R1 will cause that air projectile attack and the R2 will make you use the charge that will knock the person up sends him to the moon and will break shields. The dragon slayer great shield's weapon will imbue the shield with light and then dash in front of your enemy and will shield bash him that will knock him back on his ass. Lorian's great sword, I don't know, maybe give the fire a longer reach? Lothric's sword change it and give him his original scythe (and I don't know how effective it's gonna be but from what I can see, scythe are pretty good in this game) Moon light great sword should have the stance of the old moonlight spell, but now the R1 is going to be the moonlight wave same as old moonlight, the size the visuals the range, the same in every thing but you can now put an divisional moonlight wave by pressing R1 again it's gonna be fully charged already, the R2 is going to be an AoE attack just like that hammer from ds1, the normal heavy R2 attack is going to be the moon light vortex with an using R2 again after the first will make a wide energy side slash/swipe. The dragon slayer sword spear's weapon art should be like this, you press the L2 you'll send a ground wind storm like what the nameless king does in his second phase pressing the R1 afterwards is going to be the vertical wind blast and will give you a wind buff, wind = physical damage, using the R2 after the ground storm how ever will cause you to charge right into your enemy with a thrust/stab after the stab your weapon is gonna be buffed with lightning. The storm curved sword is out of the game, no need for it. And now it's time for the real deal, the fire link sword, The fire link great sword wouldn't have an L1 guard instead it's going to have a weapon change instead and every weapon is going to have it's own weapon art, the scaling for each is: The greatsword C/C/-/- The Lance B/E/-/- The curved sword D/C/-/- The staff -/-/S/- The weapon art for the normal form is a flaming thrust then can be transitioned to a side swipe by pressing R1 or a back side swipe by pressing R2, the lance is going to be a fire charge, hitting the R2 will add a spinning attack in the end, the curved sword's weapon art is a side swipe hitting the R1 would cancel into a back flip after wards and the R2 will continue to a 3 hits combo, The staff's weapon art is going to be a buff which will make the staff burst into flames, it's permanent buff that will stay as a long as you don't attack it will greatly increase the damage and power of your next attack and will consume less fp but only for *one* attack then the buff will be cancelled, stat requirements are 25/25/25/25.

Best part about Dark Souls 3 for me is how anime some of those weapon arts are. Seriously, they look so damn stylish and awesome. Dancer's swords is just straight up something from Kimetsu No Yaiba. Still prefer Code Vein by a long shot, but damn do those moves screams absolute badassery. Can't understand why some people would hate this feature, or any of the anime-ish stuff. The hell is so enchanting about 'realism'. Ah well, some people just got no taste or sense of refinement. Thank you for the video showcasing btw. I was always hesitant to use boss weapons, so this video was really helpful.

Abyss Watchers 1 and 2 weapon arts look crazy. A 360 attack should be useful, not sure about the somersault one, but if you can consistently pull it off it looks cool as fuck. I've only played Demon's and Dark Soul's 1 so I hope they've raised their game on the boss weapons utility so as to make your trip to the blacksmith worthwhile, and the gift for defeating boss's adequate.
