I've been playing ds3 everyday since they brought the servers back up on PC. It feels good to be home. We really didn't know how good we had it until the sad excuse for PVP that is elden ring lol

That game is so stupid honestly :D That mmorpg style huge AoE spells and braindeadly op ashes just isn't for souls type of game. Maybe it's ok for pve but definitely not for pvp. I really hope their next game will be Dark Souls 4 and not Elden Ring 2.

main reason is that ds3 invasions don't require the host to allow it, or there to be multiple people already in-world, that and ds3 pvp is better in general.

There also isn't a vast open world to contend with like Elden ring. Having a more linear environment means you can always tell where people will be based on their levels as there's only ever one route through the game

@@executioner_ecgbert884 I slightlydisagree. Uou can sequence break the hell out of ds3. Found this out my first playthrough. Got the game with mycousin. He decided to troll me cause I beat him in early game pvp by grabbing my controller while I was in the bathroom and killing the npc priestess in the church. He forced my first boss fight to be the dang dancer. Plus you can sit the cathedral and farron swamp differently. Linear yes, but routes can change save endgame irithyll onwards

@@executioner_ecgbert884 that and in elden ring, if you invade, and you manage to take out a phantom, ruin the hosts resources and drain the second one, but die, it doesn't matter, but in ds3 they either gotta run back, or go on and see if they make it to the bonfire

Nope man. Just came from it and it sucks hard. Just try it and you’ll see. True, the game is better without overpowered ashes of war, but DS3 PVP is 90% ghost hitboxes, 10% exploitation of long ranged weapon and poking. And there still are weapon arts, so you will still be attacked by a stupid overpowered skill probably coming from a DLC. DS3 pvp used to suck and it still does. But to be honest, I have yet to see a from’s game that actually does PvP well or at least balanced.

Great vid as always M´lord. My experince with pvp on PC rn is kinda different. Ppl healing throught Loyds talisman, infinite health, stamina, teleporting behind me throught whole area, full gank sqads. Pontiff Sulyvahn running in streets of Anor Londo 😀 I thought they *repair this*. Pure mayhem. But I will get my Vertebra items for last pyro by at all costs. ! arlrrl I m fakin casul.

Sadly the dev team just isn't going to be given the resources, expertise or permission to deal with a nigh-neverending cybersec arms race between anticheat and cheaters, so that's up to the fans.

because dark souls 3 babies are spoiled with low skill floor. elden rings pvp was bad at first with multiple issues now its pretty good. thank god weapons actually do damage in that game instead of wet noodle dark lapp fights. plus theres less game breaking glitches like estus canceling moveset swapping weapon art swapping ringed knight sword canceling and infinite combo with splitleaf. never liked dark souls pvp they are all garabage but this one in particular is comical

I loved the speed of combat and how much commitment you had to put into killing just one enemy (When I first touched it he was at Cainhurst and I thought the game was impossible) Later on I bought a ps4 and picked up a copy of the brand new ds3 at the time so I consider that my first real souls game and fell in love with it instantly. It’s still fast paced but deliberate and had way more to customize on your character. Back then I didn’t even know that red phantoms were players. When I figured that out it supercharged my interest. Ds3 has a special place in this gamer’s heart The reference to merchants was just me saying I miss being able to buy bombs and stuff lol. Not a huge fan of how tedious the crafting system is in ER.

idk hows for low lvl but at 125 pontiff i just tend to spam red orb with aldrich covenant as well for 10minutes and invade the exact same gank until they stop and i get noone anymore, and do survival get invaded by mr. murky xbow free aim and mr. #1 brazil

I started playing on PC but man i avoid pontiff because there’s a hacker named It’s All Ogre Now that just infinitely flips you forcing you to alt F4. Now i just duel. Coming from console Gank city was my favorite area to invade but i can’t do that anymore.

dark souls 3 has the lowest skill floor in the series even the top players recognize this as fact. the skill ceiling is pretty high but the meta of spaced r1 roll away explosive crossbow shot rope fire bomb repeat is very very snooze fest. wet noodle fights taking ages to do tiny damage. dark souls 3s skill floor is have a prefrontal cortex and thats a fact
